RaiderHaters Revenge 4,351 Posted September 14, 2014 I'm not really worried, but maybe hes just not good he will get plenty of touches though, so he makes up in volume
Cuse9 129 Posted September 14, 2014 Ball just can't make anyone miss. He's a north/south runner with no moves. CJ looks much, much better in the offense. I would pick up CJ if you can.

RaiderHaters Revenge 4,351 Posted September 14, 2014 only league I got him in was my 10 teamer when he fell to the 3rd, luckily I got good depth there

DontPushMe 5 Posted September 14, 2014 I picked at the end in a 12 team league and I clinched my teeth and took him first. Regretting it. Situation is great but player looks to be crap.

murf74 461 Posted September 14, 2014 Guy sucks, wish I picked someone else but bought into the hype. Lacy?
p00h 85 Posted September 15, 2014 His hype was based on no logic. The reasons were he's only back there and it's a great situation. Sure hrs in the best offense in the league, but one which will throw for TDs on 1st and 3. So if he ain't rqcking up yards and catches, hrs not going to be that good FF wise. Might have some monster games in blowouts but week to week, pretty much a guarantee he's a 1st round Rb bust. Not gonna be the only. Unwarranted hype, rinse repeat...every year. Wishful thinking strikes again... PS: book Peyton for 45-60 again...
Djgb13 2,339 Posted September 15, 2014 RB2 territory which is what I have him as in my 12 teamer. Not too bad but would like better production
BobSanders_33 127 Posted September 15, 2014 Maybe you would have been better of if AP, Lacy, or Charles fell to you? Drew Brees, DT, or AJ Green?
stonewall 647 Posted September 15, 2014 Buy low on Ball.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted September 15, 2014 Lacy is a buy low, Ball is not. He's more of a bye bye. (Yes I'm proud of that one.)
roroco 75 Posted September 15, 2014 Lacy is a good talent in a great situation. Ball is a average player in a great situation. Buy low on Lacy and be worried about Ball. We have seen average talent in great situation flame out all too often at RB.

BobSanders_33 127 Posted September 15, 2014 I didn't get a chance to watch the game today but after looking at the stats I'm not sure why all the negative talk about Ball's performance. I was hoping that Ball would put up huge numbers against the KC's depleted D. Ball's numbers look good. He got 5.0 yards per carry, was able to break 1 of his 12 carries for 20+ yards, and caught all three of his targets for 10 yards per catch. Yeah it would have been nice if he would have punched a close TD instead of a Manning pass. The real concern is the Denver D's inability to get off the field and the lack of offensive plays for the Denver O. On the day KC ran 73 offensive plays to Denver's 45. The Denver defense gave up 11-16 3rd down conversions. THAT IS HORRIBLE! The truth is that the entire Denver offense isn't producing like it did last year. Manning threw for 300+ yards in 12 regular season games last year and this year he has started with 269 and 242. If he wasn't throwing short TD passes he would be a major disappointment. DT has put up an uninspiring 48 and 62 yard performance. The issues are clearly deeper than Ball.
stonewall 647 Posted September 15, 2014 I watched the game...and Ball looked good. Just needs more opportunity.
p00h 85 Posted September 15, 2014 I watched the game...and Ball looked good. Just needs more opportunity. That's part of the problem though. With a lead practically all game, he got 12 rushes. Yet another week where Peyton gets not 1 but 2 passing TDs inside the 5, one being on 1st down. We can only hope the O philosophy changes as the season progresses but with Peyton at the helm history states otherwise...bottom line is, the very factors that deemed him a stud RB are actually working against him. Opportunities in a big time O. Peyton is a vulture extraordinaire, and with JT emerging as unstoppable, especially in the RZ, ball will have to fight for scraps... MTSkiBum 1,620 Posted September 15, 2014 He is on pace for 1350 total yards and 8-12 td's. It is very similar to Joseph Addai's first 2 years in the league. He certainly is a good buy low candidate in redraft leagues if you need an upgrade on your rb 2 spot.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted September 15, 2014 Reports of his demise are a little off base. He's good enough to be a body in the offense wich is good enough to start for a fantasy team. The problem is the offense is so enamored with precious Peyton that they can't help showing him off. At the goal line and passing? Just not conducive to rb success when all he gets is scraps. To make things worse, they get Welker back and his game is basically an extension of the running game. It's almost like they run to fake out like play action from normal teams. When they hand off its a big surprise rather than expected. I dunno, I'm a known Ball hater but he doesn't look that bad and just needs some more action. But if they keep winning there's no need to change the gameplan,

But if they keep winning there's no need to change the gameplan, Well traditionally Peyton RBs do put up good stats. Maybe it hasn't happened just yet, but Ball should be good for the year.
