purplengold47 27 Posted October 16, 2014 Is he worth stashing in a 10-12 league? He looked good last game, not much carries but a lot better than stacy or benny. Clearly he's the more talented rb and last yr correct me if im wrong, stacy was rb3 when he emerged, same situation as mason this yr.
hotgumbo1 12 Posted October 16, 2014 It depends on your situation. If you are an owner like me who took AP with my #1 and WR WR the next two rounds, then you almost have to stash Mason to find out. The kid is clearly talented and the way Stacy and Cunninghamg are plodding around...
Flgatorguy87 160 Posted October 16, 2014 I'd hold if you have the space. I wouldn't hurt my starters at the cost of holding him though.
SLM827 4 Posted October 16, 2014 I picked him up in 2 leagues - ur correct - same time when Stacy got bumped up last year
Bobbyn2022 53 Posted October 16, 2014 Mason is by far the best back out of the 3. Now let's see him take the job. You don't draft a RB in the second round and just sit him. If he starts getting 10-15 touches I think he can be a solid player. It's only a RBBC until some undoubtably balls and I think mason has that kind of talent. RedzoneMonster 102 Posted October 16, 2014 I wouldn't be surprised if we see a similar siuation as last year about this time when Stacy suddenly came into the picture. Plus, why would they draft a RB so high if they weren't going to at LEAST give him a shot if the other guys struggled? I would not be shocked to see him as the starater w/i 3 weeks, getting 15 carries per game. What do they have to lose?
American Chewy 98 Posted October 16, 2014 seems to fit their gunslinger offense better than stacy/Cunningham. big play potential. only issue is schedule, though it gets easier around the fantasy playoffs. and probably pass blocking, he looked a little suspect there though they are keeping Kendrick in the backfield to help block. AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted October 16, 2014 Mason was a beast last season at Auburn. I was super impressed by him in the national championship game vs FSU. They drafted him pretty high as well. If I remember last season, the Rams had a little bit of a revolving door before settling on Stacy and letting him take off for an awesome fantasy season. Mason seems to be in a similar position to Stacy last year.

AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted October 17, 2014 How was he at catches passes? That's tough to say because he didn't catch a ton of passes in college. Auburn's offensive philosophy is to run, run, and then run some more. What I can tell you is that he ran through the SEC which is no small feat and was an absolute monster when it mattered most...in the SEC title game (300 yards, 4 TD's) and the national championship (close to 200 yards rushing). He was a high 3rd round pick by a team which just had a rookie have a very impressive campaign. Stacy does not look the same this year (injury?) and I've never been very impressed by Benny Cunningham. If anyone can take control of this RBBC and go off (like Stacy did last season) it will be Tre Mason.
Giants Fan 85 Posted October 17, 2014 I like him. Starting him this week in the league where I got him. Wanna know what's extra awesome? I got him in a FAAB $1k league for $67 yesterday. Next highest bid? $66.

Giants Fan 85 Posted October 17, 2014 pretty balsy to start him this week. what are your other options? CJ0K, but it's too late for that. Bryce Brown, Kadeem Carey. Team has been decimated by injuries.

Breesman32 11 Posted October 17, 2014 Just because he played well one week doesn't mean its going to be that way every week. We should know now 10 carry a week backs are just not going to score every week and get 50 yards. Its a crapshoot because you never know if Stacy has a huge run play that negates Mason's value the rest of the game. RB2 and 3s are not consistent this year. Giants Fan 85 Posted October 17, 2014 Here's the thing, everyone that saw the MNF game and knows what to look for, at least a little bit, would say the most exciting back was Mason. Stacy looks slow and plodding, and Cuningham also looks kinda heavy, and less quick. He passes the eyeball test. If I was to pick between one of those 3 ROS, it would be Mason. Giants Fan 85 Posted October 17, 2014 Last year, about this time, e'reyone said Stacy was not ready for a full time role. Same arguments, but he was the best RB in that system. He earned the starting job. So, it seems to me, one of these guys is gonna win the job. My opinion, and many others after watching MNF is that Mason is the most talented back in that system. It's a matter of time before he is the lead back. This season? Maybe. Could be the RB that saves some teams.
NEWPOSTERGUY! 269 Posted October 17, 2014 - this kid has a nice burst hope porn 'stache decides to let him stretch his legs a wee bit here in the second half of the ff season. if Stacy/Cunningham are the answer, we don't wanna know the question
Borat33 17 Posted October 17, 2014 Kid has great talent. Reminds me of a young MJD. Just needs a shot. Once the Rams go like 1-9 he will prob get a lot more work.
