TennisMenace 156 Posted November 16, 2014 Matt Asiasta should be the number one waiver wire pick up this week, especially after he vultures 2 more tds.
jaxjag 43 Posted November 16, 2014 i don't see how goodell can survive this mess What mess? In all seriousness, Peterson put himself in this situation. Goodell works for the owners and is acting in what he believes is the best interest of the league. Do you think he'll be fired or impeached or replaced in some way due to the Adrian Peterson case?

I don't know if he's fired, but Goodell is in a position of his own making. Incompetency and inconsistency are two things. Out and out lying to a player is an entirely different level. Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted November 16, 2014 Out and out lying is an entirely different level. Kind of like saying "I'll be at the meeting Friday" and pulls a no show leaving people to speculate AP just finished a blunt or decided to swing by Texas to beat on a 4 year old again? Kent 228 Posted November 16, 2014 Kind of like saying "I'll be at the meeting Friday" and pulls a no show leaving people to speculate AP just finished a blunt or decided to swing by Texas to beat on a 4 year old again? Nobody is defending APs actions. However, the commish office can't ask players to come to unsanctioned meetings. And as the Czar, all players are compelled to attend any request from Goodell. Now Goody is screwed if he rules for more punishment because everyone including the union will say he made the decision thanks to the hearing snub. Goodell is running a kangaroo court. His office is a circus. He's got to go.

It sounds like there's some question as to whether Peterson agreed to the meeting or if the NFL just scheduled it and wanted him to attend, but I do think he should have gone. If for nothing more than public relations "I'm doing everything I can to get the situation resolved, I'm following the process, yada yada yada."

If for nothing more than public relations "I'm doing everything I can to get the situation resolved, I'm following the process, yada yada yada." No way should he or any player ever go near Goodell again without their union rep, agent and or lawyer in the room. Oh, and a tape recorder. Are you guys not watching what's been going down with Goodell? Hello? The guy had a private meeting with Rice and the BATTERED VICTIM in the room for one of these bull crap CZAR meetings. Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted November 16, 2014 Nobody is defending APs actions. By wanting this scumbag back on the field ever let alone this season, people ARE defending his actions. He needs to face consequences for his actions just as OTHERS need to see him face consequences. The zero tolerance needs to be just that; zero. Reinstate him then give him 6 games on the street from THAT moment forward. None of this horsesh!t "let him pay a fine equivalent to 6 game checks" mantra that just lets him off with paying a fine. Sit his a$$ for the rest of the year and be done with it.

Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted November 16, 2014 I don't disagree with any of what you're saying. But how can you not recognize more shenanigans from Goodell? Goddell is a seperate issue than AP. I agree Goddell has conducted himself VERY poorly this year and in the past. Should he be fired? I believe so but when he's trying to flush a turd like AP, I don't care how he does it. Flyfreak 84 Posted November 17, 2014 ESPN's Adam Schefter predicted on Sunday Countdown that Adrian Peterson will resume playing football "sooner rather than later." "My sense is still that he will play this season," Schefter said, "and sooner rather than later." The NFL and NFLPA are going back and forth through the media, with Peterson issuing a statement on Sunday morning after the NFL accused him of missing a disciplinary hearing on Friday. The statement can be read at the link below. We tentatively expect Peterson to play in Week

Jeez, what kind of child hood did you come from or in what manner are you raising children if lacerations (that's open wounds BTW) on a four year old don't qualify as horrific.
