NEWPOSTERGUY! 288 Posted November 5, 2014 It's difficult to look beyond that if you actually saw the pictures. If you viewed those with the thought they were of a 4 year old child (and NOT a 16 year old that stole their parents vehicle) that had their flesh broken, then you can't want him on the field let alone loose in society. Period. - perfectly articulated, and + infinity
SaintsInDome2006 441 Posted November 5, 2014 All we can do is wait. But the fact that this is during the bye helps. Lots of time for the Vikes and the NFL to reach a decision.

Challenger 72 Posted November 5, 2014 No way, he will play next year, they will add him back during off season sneakily. Not when all this crap still going on, Ray Rice still suing the league for god sake.

BingoBrown 8 Posted November 5, 2014 No way, he will play next year, they will add him back during off season sneakily. Not when all this crap still going on, Ray Rice still suing the league for god sake. Right, Ray Rice is suing the league (and may win). If he's not reinstated, Peterson will certainly do the same thing. The CBA only gives the NFL so much leeway with punishments on these things, and they've reportedly gone past what the CBA allows already with Peterson. I'm not saying it's a lock Peterson plays this year, but with his criminal case now over with, Peterson will surely seek all available legal remedies if he is not reinstated. pee-diddy 27 Posted November 6, 2014 Could be week 11 This from CBS: The NFL has not set a timetable on Adrian Peterson's potential reinstatement, but the Vikings running back is aiming to play Week 11 at Chicago when the team returns from its bye, reports Pro Football Talk. "It only takes an airplane trip to do it," Peterson's attorney, Rusty Hardin, told the website. "I'm hoping that can be done quickly and I'm hoping the NFL is receptive to it and agrees to it and get this issue off the front page, because it's time for him to go back and ... play football." Peterson pleaded no contest Tuesday to a Class A misdemeanor in his child abuse case and will avoid jail time. He remains on the Exempt/Commissioner's Permission List and is not allowed to participate in team activities. The NFL, which could decide to suspend Peterson, has said only that it will review his status.
tigeru 65 Posted November 6, 2014 He decided what he'd do to get into trouble but he doesn't get to decide when he plays next. He forfeited that.
SUXBNME 1,514 Posted November 6, 2014 "If Adrian Peterson receives a plea deal and his felony child abuse charge is bargained down to a misdemeanor, the expectation of the NFL Players Association will be that the Minnesota Vikings star should be punished as would any other player determined to be guilty of a misdemeanor, league sources told ESPN. Jeff Curry/USA TODAY Sports The NFLPA will argue that if Adrian Peterson reaches a plea deal in his child abuse case, he should be punished just like any other player found guilty of a misdemeanor, according to sources. Peterson has missed eight games but been paid his full salary of nearly $5.3 million in his absence. The union will likely argue that the running back should be reinstated and perhaps forced to pay a substantial fine -- surrendering part of the income he's been receiving. Peterson has been on the commissioner's exempt list, and only commissioner Roger Goodell can reinstate him, so he could be required to meet with Goodell. Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy, who is facing a trial for a domestic violence charge, also was placed on the exempt list in September. Both players agreed as part of a deal that they would be ineligible to play until their cases are adjudicated, but that they would receive full compensation until that time. Once Goodell reinstates Peterson, presuming the commissioner eventually does so, the Vikings would either have to allow the running back to return to the team or be required to release him. The Vikings' position on all of this remains a mystery. They have been silent since Peterson was put on the exempt list, so there is uncertainty as to whether the Vikings are willing to reinsert Peterson into their lineup. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer was asked about Peterson on Monday as the team began its bye week, and he made it clear he judges Peterson based on his own personal interactions and considers him to be "top-notch, first-class."" Kaptain02 0 Posted November 6, 2014 Glad I kept him.. almost dropped him earlier this year to free up a roster spot. I believe he'll be back week 11 and I'll start him with confidence. With that being said my options at RB are slim

Collect a few million hit the golf course early for all I give a shid. He's been out since Week 1. How would it make sense to now suspend him any longer? He'll have to give back the game checks for the suspended weeks, but suggesting that he won't get credit for time already served is pretty preposterous. And hasn't taken a hit all year. Fozapd 8 Posted November 6, 2014 I only grabbed him in one league, but it is a keeper league so I really feel it is worth the chance. I mean Adrian Peterson as a keeper could work out well in the future, and he could help me win the playoffs now. Low-risk as I cut Ryan Fitzpatrick (my crappy backup who lost his job), and its a 16 team league.

jrbdmb 28 Posted November 6, 2014 I'm starting to suspect the NFL will drag it out until after Week 11, then impose the six-game domestic violence penalty on Peterson. Voila! No Peterson this year. Goodell and company have had enough ulcers about domestic violence already this year and will do whatever they can to make sure Ray Rice and Peterson do not play again in 2014. If the NFL does not deal with this getting AP on the field by week 12 at least I think they are looking at a lawsuit and maybe King Rog testifying again. I don't think the NFL has a leg to stand on here.
