Oh. Then what was your point? My analogy is still spot on. Do you ever tire of me stepping on your throat?

Unlike mooslims, you won't find any gun owners dancing in the streets celebrating someone murdering someone with a gun.

Dayum, you need everything in crayon.

Once again, you want to judge all Muslims because of some wacky ones. No different than wacky gun owners.

We can do this all day. Actually, you'd be willing. I'm not the 100 posts per day guy that you are. I have a life.

So, you think terrorists are just wacky?

Same boat as idiots who shoot up schools. Wacked out. Illogical. Not representing everyone else.

Stay down, Man. This is a slaughter. Ouch

Wow dude, the science really is settled.

We're talking about labeling entire groups of people based on lunatics. Please try to keep up. For God's sake, this is ALL you do. You think you'd be a little better at it by now.

It's shocking that they even had to release this statement. But when idiots like RP and Drobeski exist and want to characterize all 1.5 billion as terrorists, I guess they have to speak to lowest common denominator.

It's really frightening that guys like them get to vote.

TROLL !@#

That'd be a great analogy if our goal had been to secure Texas' assistance against the Branch Davidians

Okay use any religious person that has killed people in the name of religion. That is not the point.

The question is: How is calling ISIS "muslim/islamic terrorists" calling all muslims terrorists?

Only the ignorant think all muslims are terrorists and only the ignorant think ISIS isn't an Islamic/muslim/religious terrorist organization.

Even muslims know that ISIS is a bunch of religious nut jobs just like chrisitans know westboro baptists are a bunch of religious nut jobs.

Well when you're trying to work with countries that are almost entirely muslim it's probably best to avoid playing into your opponent's claim that you're engaged in some sort of religious holy war. Rightly or wrongly, that is a perception that has traction in certain corners of the would and we would like to have some allies in those corners.

Seems pretty simple, really :dunno:

Guys with limited intelligence have no grasp of diplomacy. RP is barely smarter than a soap dish.

With extremists it doesn't matter. No matter what we do or say we will be engaged in a holy war. I don't think the average mulism is stupid enough to believe the holy war extremist rhetoric. Just a difference of opinion.

Yes that's why I'm surprised Bert can't see it. He at least holds himself out as being smarter

Seems to me Obama would call them what the mooslim countries are calling them. Ya know, for diplomacy reasons.

I see but it is very simplistic and targeted at a very small % of muslims. I do not believe the average muslim is as ignorant as us American's think they are.

I imagine that it depends on the country. In a nation like Jordan I suspect there is probably a lot of suspicion of the United States. So if you want that country's cooperation you probably do have to be a tad careful in what you say.

We associate their inane dedication to the literal interpretation of the Quran as ignorance, when in fact they can be very crafty.

Not really a big deal I suppose but it seems like a lot of effort for not a lot of result and also makes us look simplistic. Of course being that we are in the 4th term of GW Bush that ship has sailed.

If we didn't have the moron Lurch running the negotiations the simple way to handle this would be to say behind the scenes to these guys:

"Hey, our internal politics calls for us to call this Islamic terrorism, but we both know you guys are all about peace, so ignore what we have to put out for domestic consumption and let's figure out how to deal with these "wacky" ISIS characters who are giving your peaceful religion a bad name".

That's diplomacy. Unfortunately, mooslim apologists like you, PeenieDC, and Ducky can't think on that level. Too nuanced. :(

What is worse is that Obama and Lurch can't either. :( :(

What cracks me up is how so many Foxtards are SOOOO outraged that Obummer won't call "them" Islamic Terrorists. Hmmm...Short memories. Apparently they don't remember when Bush Jr's team tried to rebrand the War on Terror?

"'We actually misnamed the war on terror. It ought to be the struggle against ideological extremists who do not believe in free societies who happen to use terror as a weapon to try to shake the conscience of the free world." GWB

They have stopped talking about a "war on terrorism." Thinking it too narrowly defined, Administration officials now speak of a "struggle against global extremism." Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld describes America's policies as a "global struggle against the enemies of freedom, the enemies of civilization." Donny Rumsfeld

We are still on this?

Does calling them Islamic...when Islamic is right in the focking name ISIS or ISIL really mean anything?

No...if any righty wants to talk about fake outrage...this is it.

Its completely focking meaningless to add Islamic terrorist when describing things...it does nothing to help end what is going on...but that is what you all keep crying about.

Holy fock.

Not really...since its on topic of what to call them and points out the blatant hypocrisy of those on the right that didn't care then...but only care now because of Obama.
