And FYI I am happy that people exercise. You will never catch me laughing at an obese person at the gym working out cause I always think "good for him. He's doing something about it". However, PF is the definition of judgmental. If someone is actually trying to workout hard they will call you a "lunk". Plus free pizza while you workout? Come on you know that's just retarded. Some please Frank go cry somewhere else

 

I hope it's not like this. I'm not a big guy at all but when I go to the gym I work hard. If PF really is the kind of gym that discourages effort it's not the place for me. I'm all for having a welcoming / comfortable atmosphere but there are ways to do that other than praying on the prejudices / insecurities of your own membership.

 

Anyway, I'll give it a try for a few months and move on if I have to.

I'm sure they aren't ALL like that. I've been to two. One in South Carolina and one here in San Antonio. I got yelled at for trying to do dead lifts at the one in South Carolina. The here in San Antonio they complained when I was clinking the dumbbells together during a chest exercise. Said it was "distracting". My workout partner got called a "lunk" by the staff when was trying to bench press his max and was struggling so he made some noise. Nothing like screaming out but apparently enough to where someone at the front desk called out "shut up you lunk" After that I was done with the place

LOL fat guy in a basement is a bit of a stretch. I make it a habit to believe everything I read online because I cant prove otherwise nor does it matter. I could make any persona for myself I wanted and easily back it up with any amount of convincing sounding arguments to you guys. Thats sort of the fun of online, you get to be whoever you want to be. People tend to not lie but rather create half truths. For example, "I watch alot of greys anatomy and one time enrolled in medical school" becomes "Im a doctor.". Or "I dropped out of law school" becomes "im a lawyer.". You can become the thing you almost was or wanted to be.
