2015 Consensus Rankings Voting Thread: TIGHT ENDS

Recommended Posts

The Geek Consensus Rankings are back for 2015. Worm has once again graciously offered his services to gather up the results.

Please use this thread to vote for your Top 15 TEs for the 2015 season.

  • Redraft League, Standard Performance / FFToday scoring should be used to rank the players - NO PPR!
  • Voting will last until midnight PM PST on Thursday, 8/20
  • Once the voting is over, the results will be documented then tabulated.
  • Traditional polling measures will be used to determine the results

Thanks in advance for your participation! We hope this proves to be a helpful resource in establishing a baseline for your upcoming drafts.

Note: If you edit your rankings during the voting period week, please click the box "Show Edit by line" when making your edit, or note or the date of the edit at the bottom of your post. Also make sure you include rankings numbers next to each player's name.

Thanks!

1. Gronk

2-15. Who gives a poop?

There is exactly one elite TE option this year. I expect Graham will be closer in total points to TE 12 than TE1 this season.

Gronk is the only TE I would even think about taking before rounds 5-6.

Gronk has no Brady for 4 games so he's also going to come back to earth a bit.

As good as he was last year, he was only 30-40 points more than the 2-4 on last year's final tally. That's 2-3 points per week advantage....not worth it.

I'm landing some combo of Hill / Gates / Vernon in rounds 10-12 of 14-team mocks. I will take that any day of the week over any TE before round 6 this year. It's just a seriously down year for the position.

I keep seeing Graham get drafted in the 3rd but he looks like a 850 / 7 guy to me this year. I will gladly double up on the position late and bank on a bargain TE scoring roughly in that range.

Unless its a deep league I hate carrying two TE's

Me too but I look at it this way: I can reach for a Top TE who is unlikely to perform at a clip that warrants his 6-8 round selection, or spend two 10-12 round pick virtually assuring myself of league average production. I don't have a whole ton of faith in say Gates and Vernon, but I would feel pretty good about one of them ending up Top 10 at the position. :dunno:

Lot of love for Hill on these lists even tho Brees has said himself that Watson is the starter and Hill is just a sub package guy. Don't know where yall get off putting him anywhere near the top 12.

I have a fantasy football blog where I have ranked all positions. Coming soon I'll have sleeper and bust TEs. Check it out here www.fantasyfootballfoxhole.com

I will say this, I am glad to see that a majority of people agree that Greg Olsen should be ranked ahead of Kelce! I like Kelce's upside, but Olsen is a proven commodity. I also think that Dwayne Allen is the TE to own in Indy!
