Tiger Watch - The Wyndham Championship

Recommended Posts

Has to win or a possible lone 2nd to make the PGA Playoffs. I've played Sedgefield once, it's a beautiful course and the greens are like pool tables. Just fast and pure.

Currently our beloved Tiger is -4 thru 11. I will be there (Greensboro) on Sunday if he is in contention. :boner:

Oh God. You mean they found a tournament irrelevant enough for Tiger to contend? Awesome

Quick observation whilst watching this: There's like no rough at this place. It's almost Augusta-like

Eh, only $4.99 a month and I'll usually bet one of the matchups they're showing. I've spent money on dumber things I suppose :dunno:

Good Observation...It's similar to Augusta. Pine tree's and perfect greens. I think the layout is different but, well, you get the idea.

Another birdie. 5 under thru 13. Haven't seen him putt this well in a long time. He always says he likes lightning-fast greens, this place might be right up his alley.

I pay 4 a month for golf logix app on my phone. (I golf maybe 6 to 8 times a month)

it isn't the money, it's the idea of it.

On my phone I use SkyDroid for my GPS on the course. It's free and seems to work really well on every course I've used it at.

It's basically just that though. GPS. No extra features like keeping track of your scores and whatnot.

Bomb with the Driver on 15th hole (his 15th as he started on 9). Twirl of the club. Just like old times.

Don't bother even if he is. You ever tried to follow him in person? Absolutely impossible unless you wait for him like 5 holes ahead. Hell, even watching his group now on a Thursday morning it looks like there's a couple thousand people following him already.

Probably true. I went last year on a Friday. They have a real life tiki bar next the green on 16 complete with a beach. There were women laying out in bikinis. Me and my two friends posted up there and got pretty sloshed. Every group that came to the par 3 we each picked a golfer in the group and bet a dollar on that hole. We sat there for two solid hours. Good Times.

ETA: Found a pic

I use the free version and it keeps my scores and it does all of the GPS stuff. Most of your other stats are probably inaccurate or made up anyway. Why pay the $4? :dunno:

Does it allow you to see what distance certain hazards are or the distance to the front and back of the green?

He hasn't played well since 2013 and this tournament means the world to him. He needs to win or place lone 2nd to make the playoffs.

Try and keep up.

I want him to do well and challenge the Spieths, Rorys and Days of the world in majors... Making the cut in the Greater Greensboro doesn't jive my pants.

No, but him winning this week, means he will have had to play through pressure and him making the playoffs, could be just the thing golf needs.

lets dream al little.

Tiger winning this week and then contending in the Barclays next week? :o Then onto the tourney named after Tiger himself (DB Championship)

Anyone who is a golf fan should definitely want him to play well. Golf is more exciting when he's contending. Plain and simple.

I could really care less about his off the course stuff just like I could give 2 sh1ts about William McGirt's off the course stuff. Golf is in a really good spot right now with all the young talent out there. Tiger playing anywhere close to the Tiger of old would take it to a whole new level.

I like to play pretend.

TIger wins this week, makes the playoffs and wins the Fedex cup.

The top 3 golfers in the world are all under the age of 30, 4 of the top 10.... I think the game is in pretty good shape w/out TW.

I also don't TW in the hunt on Sunday here puts any kind of pressure on him. He prolly gets more from playing at home in his games than at the Greater Greensboros of the world... Him missing the cut (badly) in the last 2 majors left a very sour taste in my mouth - he's done until he does this in a big time event.
