Just some quick notes on Melvin Gordon from local radio. He looks bad at camp.

Recommended Posts

With Gordon, to me, it is going to come down to adp and the rest of the Charger offense. A healthy Allen/Benjamin combo will help open up the offense. Woodhead's value will suffer mightily if Gordon does just enough to hold his job. My gut tells me Gordon is Trent Richardson 2.0 and that Woodhead's ADP is already factoring in last year's production.

It's all about value.......and he currently has it.

Potential RB1 for a RB3 price.

I just don't see any way he is a RB1. I think his absolute ceiling is a rb2.

just something I found on the net.

apparently on this day he broke a really nice long run (which was good)

but looked terrible in pass protection (which is bad) They have a video on this site showing him getting beat badly on a blocking drill.

I don't see a number 1 Rb or do I see a Rb 3.

I just dont think I can rank him that high .

I read an article that they're trying him out on kickoff returns.

Um, most teams don't trot their true #1 RB out there on KO returns.

Bad pass blocking is huge. You know phillip isn't having any of that & won't be shy about it. Plus they will be an average team so they could be playing from behind a lot.

Maybe if they didn't pull him in the red zone in favor of Woodhead every single time.

Woodhead needs to go down for there to even be a discussion about potential anything.
