listen2me 23 1,544 Posted September 8, 2016 Is this guy worth a roster spot in a fairly deep league? I anticipate him seeing time Sunday night and if he looks solid in those carries he will be picked up. Is it worth jumping on him now? Matt Jones seems like a guy who will be banged up all the time and really just is not that impressive anyway. I am fairly thin at RB. Any homers know just how much they like this guy? Seems like if Matt Jones does nothing impressive that he may lose his job anyway even without injury. Not sure what people see in Jones, he averaged a sad 3.4 ypc last season and he came into this season as some sleeper with his job on lock. I don't really get it. Not that Kelley is a world beater. He plows ahead as well, but if Jones is nicked up and averaging 3.4 a carry I don't see why they would not give Kelley the job at some point?
weepaws 2,460 Posted September 8, 2016 Jones can't seem to stay healthy , so yes.
crackills 19 Posted September 8, 2016 Fat rob is a low floor/ low ceiling RB.. he is a two down runner on pass happy team. Even if Jones gets hurt or looses his starting job Kelley would only get you points if he gets in the in zone(think Morris last year). I would think Thompson would be the better stash in a ppr leagues.
IGotWorms 3,315 Posted September 8, 2016 Jones sucks but is Kelley any better? I've never seen the guy play
BobSanders_33 127 Posted September 8, 2016 Kelley wasn't a great runner in college but he is worth a deep bench stash. He is a player where there are several ways he could make an impact. Jones could fumble away the job. Jones could continue to play poorly. Jones could get hurt. In my deep bench league I like to have players like this that could find themselves in line for major work. TennisMenace 156 Posted September 8, 2016 I picked him up in my 14 man league only because there are few RBs available to stash.
kilroy69 994 Posted September 9, 2016 I stashed him in both leagues. I have no confidence in jones as a runner or as a back that can stay healthy.

Rob only got 200+ touches in all his years in College! he never had a chance to shine. Bottom line from a DC native....He has better vision, quicker decision making and is a better N/S runner than Jones is. Gruden will play the back that gives him the most production...This will be Kelley..
BigTexas 0 Posted September 15, 2016 So...not one touch in Week 1. Team looked pass-happy vs a run team. Rob looks like he would only have value if Jones goes down, and not clear if there would be value in a Washington runner at all. Droppable for a WR3?

BigTexas 0 Posted September 15, 2016 Not sure worth keeping as Jones backup either.

Kent 228 Posted September 15, 2016 We should've kept Pierre Thomas.
