Really? I thought that battle at the end was unbelievable. Only part I thought was a little mopey was after attacking the machine gun nest, letting the German go, Tom Hanks, I'm a teacher and baseball coach...that part seem a little far fetched to me.

When going through basic I always wished they either made a movie following different people through basic or made another movie besides FMJ about military basic training.

It's hella old but Tribes was a made for tv movie with some great actors that was pretty good,in fact the full movie is on youtube

First half was great... If I am remembering correctly Studio 54 or something like that had the same kind of deal. The ascent was good, the collapse dragged and was shitty
