Man, I really have a ton to learn about cryptocurrencies.  I really only thought there were a couple, like Bitcoin and Ethereum.  There's so much about this that I don't get but I'm very interested.  Seems like a great way to invest money and being in control of it.

Not at all that easy. Crypto is very volatile and extremely risky. 2017 we all thought we were gonna be rich then it died on Xmas. It’s a market based on speculation and hype with nothing tangible. Long term just buy when it takes a crap and resist when it’s surging like right now. The 10k of crypto I bought in 2017 is worth like 3k right now, yay. Could have cashed out with like 16k at the peak but then I’d hang myself if “I could have been rich if it kept going up” like everyone thought it would.

Are you going to get the BTC you have in there now, or transfer it to another coin?  I transferred some of the coins I earned on Coinbase to The Graph since it was my biggest money maker the last few days.

I very rarely sell. I'm going to keep HODLing in Celsuis and buy more BTC, ETH and THETA later this week. Hopefully, the pullback continues for a few more days.

It would be nice to buy more BTC at a lower price.  It's only going to go back up and higher than it's been.

I have none.  This stuff is real interesting to me but Ive done no homework.  Fringe lurker on ceypto stuff.

The problem with paypal is you don't actually own any crypto. Not your keys not your crypto. You can't move it anywhere. Want to send your bitcoin to celsius and earn 6% interest? To bad you can't. In short you're not really buying bitcoin.

From what I can see, you buy it and you let it sit there and increase or decrease in value.  Cash it out when you want.  You can also buy/sell Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.

You can buy it on a few exchanges but I'm not sure any are available in the US. Your best bet is buying BTC or ETH and using UNISAWP and trading for it.

But don't buy Dogecoin. It's a meme coin with no printing cap. Unless you're doing it for the lulz.

Correct, but you don't own the Crypto, PayPal does. It's fine if people are just getting into crypto and learning, but it's definitely not what crypto is all about.

Ripple (XRP) is getting sued by the SEC.  Not sure what this is going to do with the market but the XRP price is dropping and people are buying it up at the lower price.

No, since I don't take profit or try and time the market, I make sure my cyrpto is earning interest.

I also realize this goes against what I said above. Not your keys, not your crypto. The difference is I can move my crypto anytime to a cold storage account. Where PayPal you can't and you're not earning interest.

I do have an exodus wallet and wouldn't mind a nano ledger (even though they just got hacked.)

I was looking at getting a Trezor cold storage wallet to store keys offline for safety purposes.  Really only a concern once I have more BTC and ETH though.  Currently I have both of those on Blockfi collecting interest.  I bought a couple coins on Coinbase that also collect interest, like Algorand.

Those are good too. Pretty much any cold storage is good. Just don't lose your keystore.

ETA - Keep a copy in a bank vault. PEice of paper is great, but not if your house burns down or you lose it. There are billions locked in wallets nobody has access to, because of losing keys.
