SaintsInDome2006 128 Posted October 19, 2017 I tried to trade him last week. And then I thought about it again and then decided not to. His playoff schedule is not great but he might be a league winner. He's reminding me of the special seasons from years back of Vick, Gordon, Beckham.... Smileseers 54 Posted October 19, 2017 Watson has scored the most fantasy points in my leagues thus far. He was not drafted in any of my leagues this year. A true waiver gem. I was lucky to get him in one league. My leagues only score 4pts passing TDs. Watson is firmly on my "I don't trade my studs" list. If I have the #1QB/RB/WR/TE I am not trading him, and certainly not for a mid level player. If I had Watson/Brady and was extremely deficient at another position I'd expect a top 15 RB or WR at least.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted October 19, 2017 Very high, but also consider a sell high asap. The schedule coming up isnt exactly impressive, especially the next few weeks. Guys like this have one bad game and owners run for the hills and devalue him saying see, told you he would fall off! As opposed to proven guys like Brees who can have a bad game and people just chalk it up to a bad game and no big deal.
RedzoneMonster 102 Posted October 19, 2017 Who is your other QB? Whoever it is I'd consider trading him instead of Watson.
jimaveli 119 Posted October 19, 2017 I'm with redzone on this one. He's hitting people in the hands. In-stride. Downfield. And even when he doesn't play well, he seems like the type who will cover it on the backend. You'll probably get more for your original starter if he's a name. Trade the name. Get the Watson points. RedzoneMonster 102 Posted October 19, 2017 How many people in Cam's or RGIII's rookie years sold them thinking they sold high then regretted it? A lot I bet. Plus, what's your record? If you have a losing record then even more reason to stick with the huge upside of Watson. I like him even if I'm 6-0.
stonewall 647 Posted October 19, 2017 Former Rodgers owner here. I have an offer out to get Watson and D. Henry for Hundley and Martin. He already has Brady and is very weak at RB, so I am hoping he will bite. If not, I will try to get Brady in the same structured deal.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted October 19, 2017 A guy with Brees Traded Watson for Theilan straight up, ppr. Theilan was his bench wr, he traded a benchwarmer for a top QB.
weepaws 2,461 Posted October 19, 2017 I wouldn't trade Martin for Henry.
jimaveli 119 Posted October 19, 2017 Folks who look at stats and points more than snaps and situations might love Henry more than we think they 'should'. Also, there's still a film of fear over all that Doug Martin does. Injuries. Issues. Tampa being sneaky terrible cuz their defense isn't playing well. AND their qbs are prone to get their teams into big holes and eliminate the running game in any week. Add in Tampa's absurd love for Charles Simms and Martin is still scary to some folks. I love him myself, but even I'd trade him for the right price.
stonewall 647 Posted October 19, 2017 I wouldn't trade Martin for Henry. Nor would I. The trade deal was Hundley & Martin to get Watson & Henry
weepaws 2,461 Posted October 19, 2017 Wow yea if you can get Watson now that's a good move.
wizbang 10 Posted October 19, 2017 A lot of owners have a top 2 (3 before Rodgers went down) and Watson. For those teams, I'd deal Watson now in case his value drops. No sense keeping both as you should be able to land a top RB or WR. I draw the line at about Dak and above Mariota.

The Football Guru 212 Posted October 19, 2017 Brady owner in one of my most important leagues, and I've been trying to trade Watson and Thielen to get a proven WR1 like AJ Green or Hopkins. The Mike Evans owner appears willing to bite, but I find myself torn on Evans, as he's been exactly what I thought - a little better than his second-half 2016 numbers, but not close to this first-half 2016 numbers. jackjohn 31 Posted October 20, 2017 Rodgers owner, Gave K. Hunt, J. White, Winston for Watson, M. Thomas, Graham. But I have Kamara, McKinnon, Mccaffery, Martin, Henry. Traded from depth to fill a need for me. 1ppr
