Chart house, Hilton Head. 30+ years ago. The prime rib was amazing.

Looks like Chart House closed awhile back and was apparently right next to Skull Creek Boathouse.  My favorite in Hilton Head (but not that I’ve ever eaten at) is WiseGuys

Best vs. favorite can be two different things. Some of my favorites are hardly fancy or pricey. They usually involve home cooked food and such. My favorite Italian place is Ermilio's in Eureka Springs, AR.

I had a steak at Lake Tahoe back in 2018 that was the best steak I ever had. It was at a place called Garwood's. I live in Oklahoma, so we have lots of great steak places in the state along with great BBQ. Seafood, though, not so much and I love seafood. Went to a seafood place in Morro Bay, CA. a number of years ago that was probably the best I've been to, although I've been to a few in New England that rivaled that. You guys make me want to visit Hilton Head. Sounds like the food is really great there.

That’s tough. Crazy but I think the best overall meal I’ve had is at the Sheraton luau in Maui.

Mama’s is a good one, such a cool setting. That would be near top of list for sure.

I think I liked the food better at Lineage down in Wailea tho 😮. Being located next to a mall not as cool.

Haha I figured if anybody appreciated the luau dinner you’d be on it. Oh yeah Merrimans is really good too.

We never did star noodle? What do they have?

of the luaus, we liked feasts of lele done by pacifico, but it is gone. not going to do one this trip. we've done enough over the years to avoid the show and just go for better restaurants.

we drove through lahaina yesterday...very sad

star noodle has asian fusion with a lot of Vietnamese influences. last night we ordered the miso butterfish, lahaina soup noodle (like a round chow fun), nouc cham wings, pork belly baos.

Au Pied de Cochon, Montréal. Honestly every meal in NO is potentially awesome, you can eat fantastically whenever you want, but for me take me to Pied in Montréal, Thats a hell if a night right there.

OK, that’s probably why we’ve never done it. The kids would never eat it.

Yeah, we tried to drive as close as we could the last time we were out there and yeah it’s just heartbreaking. Such a beautiful little historic town.

Talking with the locals sounds like it’s just a mess getting that all redone and property lines and redoing streets with sidewalks. Outside influences, etc..

The best steak I ever had was at this place in New Orleans on the river. I forget the name and it's no longer there. Nice place and they were smoking Filet Mignons. It was awesome.
