I've been doing so good I'm afraid if I started posting again I'd jinx myself.

UFC 285 almost every fight seemed too obvious, went like 10-1 or something ridiculous.

Lost a good chunk on Usman, thought for sure he'd come out with more fire in his belly.

What I lost on Usman I made up on Holm.  No way she loses a controversial split decision, then signs a 6 fight contract and they put her in a position to lose again right away.  She might get one or two more fights she should easily win before they start pitting her up against contenders to make a final run for her career.

We have a week off from fight night this week so we'll see for UFC 287.

 

* and of course, the Holm fight was OTB for some reason in our wagering contest.

I found this dude who is doing a  “Dodge the Dinger” challenge where he’s picking a player each day to not hit a homer and then recycling winnings into the next bet.  I guess he’s estimating $50 would make you 1k in a season.  Kinda cool I think. I missed first 2 days but gonna jump on now with a $10 bet, not $50.  He actually posts pretty decent logic it seems.

Hes rolling profits into the next days bet.  For example, Day 1 he started out risking $50 and he won $1.42.  Day 2 bet was risking $51.42 and he won $4.47.  Therefore Day 3 bet is risking $55.89 to win $4.86

I should have put a disclaimer on those picks. I play in a pool that I have tried to get going here for years now but no interest. My roster in that pool is the following which has influenced my plays today.

I dont have any big bets this week.  Took a look at the card and not sure I'm going to shell out for the PPV.  

Favorite fight is in the prelims: Nuerdanbieke -190 favored experienced wrestler against a boxer. 

There are a lot of newcomers.  Rosas Jr out of contender series season 6 quietly took a backseat to Bo Nickal, who came out as a big favorite and lived up to it, Rosas at a betable number -250 should shine too.  Not everyone out of season 6 should win so I'd take the experience in Meerschaert +170 to beat Pyfer.  Amorim is 6-0 with 5 submissions and no fight getting out of the first round so I'd bet her to win by sub (havent seen a number yet) and under 2.5 rounds.  

For the main card they are all closely matched so you could come out ahead by betting the dogs, Masvidal, Font. And if I do bet the main event I like Pereira +115 to keep the title. Hes got Israel's number and I knew he was the real deal when he put Strickland to sleep.  This feels the opposite of UFC 285 where it seemed obvious and turned out that almost every favorite won, should have several dogs come out ahead.

I been doing okay of late taking the 9.5 over games in baseball and usually they hit on the over. There are none that high today so doing the opposite and taking the lowest o/u today at 7 and taking the under. Which is the Rays and White Soxs game.

I mentioned this a few weeks back and still been doing good at the overs in Baseball. I only take the 9.5  or over 10. Today I like the Reds & Red Sox game and won on the over 9.5 yesterday, today is 10.5. These games have been giving me extra money to lose on the horse races lol.
