Canelo hasnt been knocking guys out, but they do just put it in "get to a decision mode" and are bigger fighters. Crawford has more skill than the guys Canelo has been fighting, but his defense trails his offense. Will be interesting to see what his game plan is. Canelo has a granite chin and good defense. If Crawford chooses to go out on his shield trying to find a shot, he could get KOd for sure. Im banking on 1. 2 highly skilled guys who just find a way to get to the cards. 2. Crawford comes out ok but Canelo walks through everything and Crawford gets on his bike not wanting to get stopped after feeling Canelo's power, like many other guys. (For the interest of the fight, I hope not) 3. They get to the scorecards and its some odd majority decision for Canelo with interest in cashing in on a rematch. Its a tough fight to win for Crawford. He finds stoppages with his elite punch selection. But hes going up multiple weights vs a guy who has a proven chin vs heavier guys. Then unless its a spectacular fight for Crawford and its undeniable, we all know Canelo is tough to beat on the scorecards when fights are fairly close. "Boxing politics" I havent been impressed by Canelo lately but again guys go in survive mode. And bet aside I will be rooting for Crawford. But I think the stylistic matchup with Canelo is not favorable at all. By decision is the way to go in boxing. Other than Heavyweight it's like pillow fighting compared to MMA. Crawford didnt seem phased by the weight and stood in there and boxed him up. Fairly impressive performance. He got that clear cut win thatbwas undeniable, but I was still waiting for some goofy majority draw. I am cold at the moment. Ill be tailing some NFL today to try and get out of my own way.
