Let the Adrian Peterson era begin

Lifelong Vikings fan. Don't normally watch Sunday night games, but I'm going to tune in for this one.

But I'm keeping him on the bench, at least for this week.

Need a lot of Tannehill to A.J. Brown. 🙏

Yea...I'd like a lot of that too. Do you see Ramsey blanketing him tonight?
I'm almost ready to pull the trigger and start Dionte Johnson tomorrow night instead.

Peterson gets the first Titan running back carry off the game.

Well, he is the starting RB

I wonder what got into this Titans D-line.  I guess they have the "no one believes in us" boost since everyone has been throwing dirt on their grave with Henry out.

Probably too early to speculate (AP's first game) but early indications are that the Titans backfield might be a total cluster pluck going forward :)

AP looks done.

But good on him getting more cash. Gotta be better pay than DWTS!

The Rams are too easy to defend. Stop Kupp and you stop them. They don't really have anything else. Maybe Henderson. He's pretty good...until he gets another toenail issue or something.

These team's not going as far as they think. Another year of selling the farm for tickets to NoWheresville.

Titans RB usage -

Peterson: 10 carries, 21 yds, 1 TD
Foreman: 5 carries, 29 yds
McNichols: 7 carries, 24 yds; 3 rec, 11 yds

Wasteland.

I was wondering how they were going to continue to lick Aaron Donald's ass on that roughing penalty.  Turns out they just denied it was a penalty.

Very encouraging for those Peterson owners.  Non ppr he’s already flex worthy

First game in how long?

No offense, but what was encouraging about a 10 for 21 line? That he fell into the end zone? Can't count on that.

Non ppr he just scored 8 points, making him a flex play on many teams, plus you might have missed the fact it’s been a long time since he’s played. It’s only going to be better going forward. I’m darn glad to have picked him up late into a season in a 14 team non ppr

Very encouraging going forward.

I can count on him falling into the end zone, it counts 6 points.

Thanks.

I invested in AP and my feeling of encouragement is fairly low.

Positives: He's probably the goal line back

Negatives: Everything else

well, he looked good on that TD run.

he hasnt really had time to learn much of the playbook.  I think you gotta give him a mulligan on this game.

and probably the next one too.  after that I figure he will be up to speed on enough of the playbook that you can make a reasonable judgement on where he is at as a player.

Yeah, but by then it's too late to decide whether or not to use your waiver pick on him.

usually at this time of year the pickings are very slim for RB's.  Especially in leagues where you start 2.

in my 12 team leagues, he is the best available on the wire.   and thats going on speculation that he performs in a similar manner to what hes done on other teams.

that said, the line in Tennessee is very good.  so there is a chance he can do better once he learns the playbook.

no doubt its a speculative add.   I'm not sure anyone else on that roster is better.

If I may ask, what did you expect?

agreed.  you are getting a guy off the wire.

you shouldnt be expecting RB1 production.

I figure RB3 production should be expected with the occasional RB2 upside against teams with bad Run Defense.

Thats about as good as it gets when getting a RB off the wire this time of year.  if you get anything more than this, you have made out like a bandit and should probably go out and buy a lotto ticket while your luck is running.

I thought he was on his way to being stood up until two linemen shoved him into the end zone.

Collinsworth hit the nail on the head when he said he's running too high.

first game this year.....

I dont disagree with what you said.   but I'm certain it will get better.

normally you work those things out in training camp, but he doesnt have that luxury.
