You think anyone in the area has a ring cam that might have picked something up?  Could help with the investigation here.

Maybe the octopuses garden or spongebobs house?

It could have been the Atlanians.  We should get Aquaman on the case.

It could have been Amber Heard mad she did not get a bigger part in Aquaman II.  she wanted to demonstrate her capabilities which include more than bed crapping.

BTW, Amber Heard's attorneys should have prepped her for the bed messing incident by preparing her with the response, "Yes, it was from me but what did he expect, he schtoinked the crap out of me that night.

Sweden’s domestic security agency said Thursday that its preliminary investigation of leaks from two Russian gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea “has strengthened the suspicions of serious sabotage” as the cause and a prosecutor said evidence at the site has been seized.

When you are not sure who might be behind at act, first look to see who benefits.   The biggest benefactor of this event would be Ukraine.   In every measurable way this little action would help them.  It makes the most sense that they had a hand in this.

The fact that TNT was used as opposed to a more sophisticated charge leans pretty heavily towards Russia in my mind. Then again, could be ukraine.

Highly doubt that it's either the us or europe.

I thought about Ukraine, but how could they do it?  Off some grain ship?

You don't think they're a little busy fighting for their lives?  I fail to see how this helps Ukraine anyway, unless they feared that the EU and Russia would stab them in the back

When Europe starts freezing this winter maybe they push for a settlement.

The thing you have to remember is European leaders aren't as stupid as American leaders.  They'll claim they aren't buying Russian gas until the cows come home and then secretly buy a bunch of gas from Russia.  France is great for shìt like that.

I know some people won't be able to fathom a world in which are allies would be underhanded towards us because everyone in the western world supposedly plays fair, but it actually does happen.

Guys, Russia already turned off the gas before this.  Do not grasp this?

The only possibility is that Ukraine was worried that eu was gonna lift sanctions and resume the flow of gas.  They can still lift sanctions though

This weakens Putin in terms of financials as well as leverage with Europe, he no longer has this as a weapon of leverage.  This is a nasty bruise for him.

No sh¡t.

If you remove an avenue of temptation of gas from Russia:

  1. it helps unite Europe against Russia because now they are in a position where they must be trustworthy and can't make backdoor deals for gas.
  2. If Europe faces an energy crisis, it motivates them to act more decisively in ending the conflict
  3. It cuts off a potential source of income to Russia

I have no idea who did it.  Maybe it was the FBI because the pipeline was a Republican.

You should if you’re gonna run your trap so much about it.  I’ll show you how: Russia didn’t do this, and whoever did it at the very least had our blessing. That’s how a man does it.  Puzzy.

Nordstream and Escalation

As we were pondering these developments on the ground, yet another plotline emerged underwater. The first hint that something was amiss was the news that pressure in the Nordstream 1 pipeline was dropping mysteriously. It was then revealed that the pipeline - along with the non-operational Nordstream 2 - had suffered serious damage. Swedish seismologists recorded explosions on the floor of the Baltic Sea, and it was revealed that the pipelines are heavily damaged.

Let’s be frank about this. Russia did not blow up its own pipelines, and it is ludicrous to suggest that they did. The importance of the pipeline to Russia lay in the fact that it could be switched on and off, providing a mechanism for leverage and negotiation vis a vis Germany. In the classic carrot and stick formulation, one cannot move the donkey if the carrot is blown up. The *only* feasible scenario in which Russia might be responsible for the sabotage would be if some hardliner faction within the Russian government felt that Putin was moving too slowly, and wanted to force an escalation. This would imply, however, that Putin is losing internal control, and there is no evidence whatsoever for such a theory.

And so, we return to elementary analysis, and ask: Cui bono? Who benefits? Well, considering Poland celebrated the opening of a new pipeline to Norway only a few days ago, and a certain former Polish MP cryptically thanked the United States on Twitter, it is fair to make a few guesses.

2022-10-01_15-05-42.jpg?itok=plw-0G3e

The first lesson of doing crimes is not to brag about it on twitter

Let us briefly meditate on the actual implications of Nordstream’s demise.

  1. Germany loses what little autonomy and flexibility it had, making it even more dependent on the United States.

  2. Russia loses a point of leverage over Europe, reducing the inducements to negotiation.

  3. Poland and Ukraine become even more critical transit hubs for gas.

Russia clearly perceives this as a bridge burning move of sabotage by NATO, designed to back them into a corner. The Russian government has decried it as an act of “international terrorism” and argued that the explosions occurred in areas “controlled by NATO” - the concatenation of these statements is that they blame NATO for an act of terrorism, without explicitly saying that. This precipitated another meeting of the Russian National Security Council.

Somebody did it but nobody will claim responsibility. Meanwhile everybody is accusing whoever they dislike most from before the explosion as being responsible. Further since anybody who investigates has a partisan objective to find what they want to find, their report will be easily dismissed.

So, sit back and enjoy entertaining your favorite conspiracy theory, knowing that you be proven right or wrong. Maybe in fifty years when nobody gives a fock anymore, the truth will come out because some new regime somewhere, that overthrew some other entity, will  go through the previous regime's files and reveal the truth of it.
