Yeah, and Trump has been all about states' rights, local control and less federal involvement, that is until he sees a publicity stunt and sends in troops to areas with declining crime rates and stations them in super safe areas relatively void of crime.

The issue is that they don't stay much longer than the 2 or 3 year requirement, retention is really low.

So why deploy troops to safe streets instead of crime-riddled streets?

The idea is to make unsafe streets safer, but to do that, the troops need to be on unsafe streets.
