This is part of his problem though. No one wants honesty, they want to be lied to.  Trumps main failure is that he cannot shut his mouth, and he does not fear the outcomes.... a well-heeled politican would lie his arse off and then we would applaud him for it.

Let me reply to your strawman with one of my own.  If a woman walked up to me and asked a condecening question about me speaking about another woman, yeah, I might clap back with a nasty response....so yes, I would do it.... I might be wrong for doing it, but she asked the question she might not like the response.

I presume that the woman was a lawyer, and the question was asked as part of a deposition.  Nothing in the question or her tone asking it justified his response.

Have they? At this moment, Trump appears to be a lock for the Republican nomination. And once he is the nominee who knows? I’ve been pretty confident of a Biden victory but what the hell do O know? Too many what ifs. The latest poll shows Trump ahead. 
 

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you offered me right now a Ron DeSantis presidency for the next 8 years, I would gladly take it, even though I have no liking for DeSantis. Because that would mean, one way or another, Trump’s defeat. And I will accept any option that ensures that.

Last I heard Trump was losing in polls to Biden in every swing state.  I can't find that breakdown, just overall which indeed shows Trump pulling ahead.  But it's not a popular vote, as Hillary well knows.

OK fine, does Trump have a puncher's chance at beating Biden, despite the full weight of the MSM sheltering Biden from criticism and likely from debates?  I suppose.  Or we can nominate DeSantis and win in a slam dunk.

It is ironic that leftists attempt to portray Trump as bad or a liar, when all he ever does is set them off by saying exactly what he actually believes is true.  Conversely, Biden lies about everything and they do not seem to care.

He might be, but more often than not he is being honest.  If we put Biden and Trump next to each other, Biden lies more often.  I think Desantis would be better than either of these two.

Trump was highly effective, Biden has been just ruinous by comparison.  But he appears to be yeilding just a little on his earlier mistakes, so I am giving him credit for at least trying to do better

Was he highly effective? I think he was more effective at promoting himself not so sure about results.

Yes, he was pointedly putting in place meaningful progress in the AA community, and i really loved low prices and the effort at the border as well as the reworking of international stuff, it was all the stuff I was hoping someone would do, and he at least tried to make things better for us.

What things did he do for the AA community, this was talked about in other threads and when I looked around there wasn’t much outside of continuing policies. There was some stuff for AA colleges and some jail reform policies. Unemployment for AA community has been dropping for awhile along with all unemployment and continues to be at historical lows. 

Border crossings were at lows when he took office, dropped precipitously during Obama years and were rising pretty dramatically in 2019 despite his wall stuff.

GDP was flattening in 2019, went down from prior 2018. US racked up debt under his watch. Those numbers weren’t anything amazing in any case. 

I don’t really know what Trump re-worked internationally. I guess got NATO counties to pitch in more. That is fair. He was deferential to Putin almost embarrassingly so (see Helsinki press conference - that was sad to watch from a US Prez).

Inflation is the one thing Biden has to wear, this is a global issue however I would add. Countries everywhere are dealing with this. Biden can take blame here however and be judged on what actions he has taken.

I think there is no better way to help the AA than to get them employed. And that happened very well.  There is no better way to help the AA community than to ensure they have employment.  THAT is the place to start if you want to fix their problems. Just giving them hand outs or patronizing them with words is doing nothing....nothing....

Yeah, I don't play that game. I know the politicians like to do the thing where they pretend the current or former guy was not reason or where they are the reason etc.... I dont buy into that. 

We have another thread nearby where someone actually said it takes years for the presidents actions to do anything, and that also is not true; with some exceptions. 

No, Trump's actions are what led to the employment improvements, and that is fine.
