Trump testifying as to his intent and stating that folks less than competent misinterpreted his directions is his best chance at acquittal, in my estimation.  Of course he would have to be at least minimally persuasive so as to raise reasonable doubt in one juror at least, and he would have to not go off script with whatever brilliant idea (actually stupid, case torpepoing idea) he has while on the stand.  Testifying is his best hope but it is also nearly certain to sink him as his ego cannot be held in check, and his ego is the dumbest Martha Focker on the planet.
