Obama suggests Democrats have 'less tolerance for ideas that don't suit us' than when he was in office

....Former President Obama suggested Democrats are not as tolerant of ideas they don't agree with than they did when he was in office. ...During an interview with CNN, Obama was asked about how the world will "interpret" former President Trump being federally indicted and how he is still able to run for president....But Obama expressed his concerns were elsewhere. ...."I think I’m more concerned when it comes to the United States with the fact that not just one particular individual is being accused of undermining existing laws, but that more broadly we’ve seen whether it’s through the gerrymandering of districts, whether it’s trying to silence critics through changes in legislative process, whether it’s attempts to intimidate the press, a strand of anti-democratic sentiment that we’ve seen in the United States," Obama told CNN's Christiane Amanpour on Thursday....

..."It’s something that is right now most prominent in the Republican Party, but I don’t think it’s something that is unique to one party...".... Obama continued. "I think there is less tolerance for ideas that don’t suit us. And it’s sort of the habits of a free and open exchange of ideas, and the idea that we all agree to the rules of the game, and even if the outcomes aren’t always the ones we like, we still abide by those rules.....I think that’s weakened since I left office, and we’re gonna need to strengthen them again...."

....This is not the first time Obama has been critical of his own party....Last year, the former president said Democrats often sound "professorial" and get "too bogged down by policy" to the point of coming off to voters as being a "buzzkill."....Obama also warned Democrats to not focus so much on Trump....."We spend enormous amounts of time and energy and resources pointing out the latest crazy thing he said, or how rude or mean some of these Republican candidates behaved.....That's probably not something that in the minds of most voters overrides their basic interests. Can I pay the rent? What are gas prices? How am I dealing with childcare?"

The question is why is Obama doing this? 

In early June, "Senior Advisor" Susan Rice was said to have "stepped down" and left the Biden Administration. (She was fired, who are we kidding here) She was a holdover from the Obama Regime and also served in the Clinton Administration. Her best known claims to fame are further inciting the Benghazi scandal and seen as the core enabler of mass Rwandan genocide under Clinton. Rice was "alleged" to have been running day to day operations for the White House ( does anyone believe Sleepy Joe was running his Administration) 

However claims are that Susan Rice began to engage in actions that would aid in removing Biden from winning the 2024 DNC ticket. This lines up with David Axelrod, long time Obama majordomo and confidant, coming out in public and saying the DNC and Team Blue should back Gavin Newsom for POTUS 2024. In effect, Obama wanted to oust Biden, who he considered having a shaky chance to win reelection as a lock, and decided Newsom would be a better "frontman" and human sock puppet. It would also align Nancy Pelosi's entire power base behind him in full. Of course this creates a hilarious irony in that Obama has so long pushed "identity politics" and "racial tension" but now he wants to support the literal archetype of "white privilege" in Gavin Newsom for POTUS. 

Neera Tanden, senior policy analyst ascended into Rice's old role. She is "alleged" to be the point person who is running the White House behind the scenes for the corporate big donor establishment after former Chief Of Staff Ron Klain was ousted. There is now a clear fracture point between Biden/Harris/Jill Biden/Tanden/Schumer/Klobuchar versus Obama/Rice/Axelrod/Pelosi/Newsom.

Obama wants to appeal to moderates and those "left of center" because the past two and a half years of Biden incompetence and failure had been completely indefensible on all levels for every last American in the country. Obama still wants "proxy control" of the White House in 2024 and beyond. There will be clear 2024 general election losses with White Evangelicals, working class minority voters, suburban women voters, Hispanic/Latino voters, Asian voters, the overall military and law enforcement vote, those who are enraged about the economy/inflation/Border Crisis and the looming threat that Pro-Life Democrats, potentially 15-22 million strong, will become new single issue voters for the GOP down the ticket. 

Look at Obama's narcissism, ignoring Operation Fast And Furious and Solyndra scandals amongst many others, in detailing that he believes the real problem with America is that he's not President any more. This entire current disaster zone of an administration is basically a holdover / transplant of your regime, you incompetent sociopath. 

I do not believe long term history will be kind to Obama's legacy in professional politics.

IRS admits targeting conservatives for tax scrutiny in 2012 election

.....The Internal Revenue Service on Friday apologized for targeting groups with “tea party” or “patriot” in their names, confirming long-standing accusations by some conservatives that their applications for tax-exempt status were being improperly delayed and scrutinized....Lois G. Lerner, the IRS official who oversees tax-exempt groups, said the “absolutely inappropriate” actions by “front-line people”.....During that period, about 75 groups were selected for extra inquiry — including burdensome questionnaires and, in some cases, improper requests for the names of their donors — simply because of the words in their names, she said in a conference call with reporters.....

.....They constituted about one-quarter of the 300 groups who were flagged for additional analysis by employees of the IRS tax-exempt unit’s main office in Cincinnati.....It was not clear whether the IRS had anticipated the firestorm that it would ignite with its disclosure. ....President Biden has amassed a historic record in his first term. Why aren’t he and his party bragging about it?...Joe Biden when elected was the most pro-labor president since Harry Truman. He was that last December. And he is that today. He and his appointees have proven it again....Biden has been a terrific president. The big legislation. The way he played Kevin McCarthy on the debt deal. The global leadership against Putin. The plain human decency restored to the White House after four years of self-obsessed thuggery. Oh—the 13 million jobs created since he took office, which is more jobs in 28 months than created under any other president, in all of our history, in a full four-year term....

....I bet you didn’t know that last fact. The president and his administration mention it, as in this press statement. But do they crow about it? Do congressional Democrats crow about it? What percentage of the American electorate do we think knows this fact—2, 3? And let me ask you this. If a Republican president had accomplished that, what percentage of voters would know it? A hell of a lot more, because congressional Republicans and the propagandists on Fox and elsewhere would be saying it every day, several times a day....

....Democrats are walking around in some state of somnolent indifference about Joe Biden. They need to snap out of it. From senators and House members on down to state and county committee members, they have a huge fight on their hands. Go look at the Biden-Trump polls. They’re neck and neck, or margin of error at best. And the media, of course, which just can’t shake the #demsindisarray default narrative, no matter how huge a hot mess the congressional GOP is, invariably touts the outliers that show Trump ahead. But the point is, a Biden-Trump race, or a Biden-anyone race, will be down to the wire.....

.....This is a key point that has to do with a core difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals have a list of 50 things they want government to do, and they want those things done fast and to completion. Conservatives have a list of about two things they want government to do: Cut taxes, and punish people they disapprove of morally.....But the role of Democrats is different. They need to understand: Joe Biden is going to be the nominee (barring of course some major health issue in the next few months). He’s the most accomplished president since Lyndon Johnson, and without the immoral war.....

....And yet he’s under attack from four sides (Kennedy, West, No Labels, and the GOP). His age is his age (I’ll have more to say about that in a future column). But he is what stands between us and fascism, and he’s gotten far more done than anyone would have dared imagine. Democrats, get it together.

....I miss being lectured to by Barack Obama.....I was reminded of that the other day when he gave his long-winded speech at the UN climate change summit in Glasgow.....spent $12 million to buy his secluded, 30-acre oceanside home on Martha’s Vineyard. It has seven bedrooms, 8 1/2 baths, and a swimming pool. It also has a private beach where he commands the rising tides to slow......So, there was good reason for Obama not to mention the 800 old growth trees he had cut down in Jackson Park. They were cut down to make way for construction of his presidential library and museum in Chicago which looks like something Ramses II would have built in Egypt.....It was just not the place to field potential questions of the destruction of public park land or concern about displaced wildlife including a wrecked sanctuary for migratory birds......

The everyday person is just trying to get by, feed their kids, keep a room over their head, they aren't going to hang their hat on worshipping a gutless narcissist like Obama beyond the pressing basic material needs to actually survive in this country. 2 Asian Seniors Attacked in San Francisco, Weeks After a Fatal Shoving

....Weeks after a 63-year-old Chinese American woman in San Francisco died in a fatal shoving, two Asian seniors have reportedly been attacked.....According to the San Francisco Police Department, an 86-year-old woman was pushed to the ground in an unprovoked attack in the Tenderloin on July 10. ....Another incident occurred on the morning of July 21, when SFPD officers came upon an injured woman in the Union Square area who was later transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Wind said that victim, an 88-year-old, was “kicked and thrown to the ground,” suffering massive internal bleeding.....A witness helped detain the adult male suspect until the officers arrived. Charges in the case have been filed as of Tuesday morning, according to the District Attorney's Office. The suspect was named as James Lee Ramsey, 27, of Oakland on Monday.....

......If there were no climate change narrative, there would be no Jesse Keenan. It’s just that simple. He exists to sell this narrative and to make as much bank off it as possible. So he gives speeches and consults on “sustainable” land use, something that is completely unnecessary in a society not convinced of the certainty of a climate apocalypse.....And when the Senate held a hearing on climate change yesterday, Keenan was called as one of the witnesses. Sen. John Kennedy, who sits on the Budget Committee which was holding the hearing, wanted to explore a little of the rectitude and consistency surrounding Keenan’s advocacy.....

.....In a normal society, a former president—let’s call him Donald Trump—who’s been indicted three times in under four months, on charges ranging from obstruction of justice to conspiracy to defraud the United States, would have absolutely no chance of ever being president again. It straight up would not be a scenario anyone would have to even contemplate; even if this individual were not in prison, the idea that they would be able to run for and win higher office once more would not compute.....

.....But unfortunately, we don’t live in a normal society; instead, we live in a place in which millions of people not only still support Donald Trump, but grow fonder of him with every new criminal charge. More than 440 reporters lose press passes after White House changes requirements

......At least 442 reporters have lost their credentials since the White House press office changed its rules for journalists to be eligible for permanent passes, according to reports. .....The White House announced updated standards for a yearly renewal of "hard passes" in May. Journalists who do not obtain hard passes can still apply for a day pass. Politico reported the number of credentialed White House correspondents dropped from 1417 to 975 after the previous passes expired July 31, with the new number reflecting "a mix of renewals and new applications....."

......Reporters must show they have "Full-time employment with an organization whose principal business is news dissemination," have a "Physical address" in the "Washington, D.C. area," and demonstrate they have "accessed the White House campus at least once during the prior six months for work, or have proof of employment within the last three months to cover the White House.".....Additionally, hard pass seekers need to show they have an "Assignment to cover (or provide technical support in covering) the White House on a regular basis," and have "Accreditation by a press gallery in either the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, or Supreme Court...."....Lastly, applicants must be willing to "submit to any necessary investigation by the U.S. Secret Service to determine eligibility for access to the White House complex......"

.....When the updated guidelines were announced in May, Today News Africa’s Simon Ateba blasted the White House Press Office, accusing it of targeting him with the new requirements.....Ateba, a reporter known for confronting White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during briefings, tweeted at the time, "BREAKING: The WhiteHouse is changing the rules for press hard passes to target me. It was mob action. It is in the ordinance, Mr. Mayor. Look it up. It’s also in the state statute. I would hope you’d be familiar with that.....Nobody is renaming anybody little mini-Al Capones. But they certainly, in many cases, had the same, terrorizing effect that Al Capone had 100 years ago with these teen takeovers, where they think they can do whatever they want with no repercussions, no parental supervision and no accountability — specifically apparent by the mayor’s office in City Hall, who wants to excuse all of this bad behavior because Chicago has a past. ‘Deep Wounds Have Been Reopened’: Dem Louisiana Gov Orders Clemency Review For 56 Death Row Inmates

.....Inmates include man convicted of raping and stabbing a four-year-old girl.....The Democrat governor of Louisiana has ordered a clemency review of 56 of the 57 inmates on death row — including a man convicted of raping and stabbing a 4-year-old girl — after the 56 inmates filed applications....Governor John Bel Edwards decided to order the review after the leading GOP challenger to replace him in November, State Attorney General Jeff Landry, issued an advisory opinion urging the state’s parole board — all of whom were appointed by Edwards — to consider all applications as non-viable. Landry said the board should not ignore its policy — which requires clemency requests to be made within one year of judges issuing appeal rulings — unless extenuating circumstances applied, such as an imminent execution date. Landry pointed out that the execution dates for the prisoners were not imminent.....

.....“The broad and ill-defined waiver in (the rules) ostensibly empowers the board to repeal portions of its own rules and enact new ones at will, on an ad-hoc basis, and without any notice to the public,” Landry wrote, The Advocate reported. “Such a result is impermissible under Louisiana law.” In late July, Louisiana’s Board of Pardons and Committee postponed hearing clemency applications death row prisoners had submitted in June in which they asked for life sentences instead of execution.....“Beyond moral justifications, there are a number of reasons, whether based in law or science, that support the need for mercy while considering these applications,” Edwards wrote to the parole board. “Over the last 20 years in Louisiana, there have been six exonerations and more than 50 reversals of sentences in capital cases.....”

......“The governor is out there right now trying to circumvent a constitutional pardon and parole system,” Landry said in an interview with NOLA. “Every one of those people on death row has had a jury of their peers convict them not once but twice.”....Loren Lampert, the executive director of the Louisiana District Attorneys Association, called Edwards’ action “inappropriate and a direct affront to the victims and their families.”....Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore III, a Democrat, agreed with Landry, saying, “Because of the governor’s request today, deep wounds have been re-opened yet again for victims who thought this issue was decided. When will this emotional roller coaster for these victims end?....”

Fulton County DA deflects on how indictment leaked: ‘I can’t tell you anything’

....Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis deflected when asked how a draft of the indictment leaked Monday prior to the grand jury voting to charge former President Trump and 18 others. Trump, former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, attorneys Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis, Kenneth Chesebro, Jeff Clark, John Eastman, and others, were also charged out of the years-long investigation...The charges include violating the Georgia RICO Act—the Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations Act;  Solicitation of Violation of Oath by a Public Officer; Conspiracy to Commit Impersonating a Public Officer; Conspiracy to Commit Forgery in the First Degree; Conspiracy to Commit False Statements and Writings; Conspiracy to Commit Filing False Documents; Conspiracy to Commit Forgery in the First Degree;  Filing False Documents; and Solicitation of Violation of Oath by a Public Officer....

....On Monday afternoon, the Fulton County Court’s website posted a document listing the same charges included in the indictment released late Monday night.....Reuters first reported on the document, before the Fulton County Court quickly removed it from the website....Trump attorneys Drew Findling and Jennifer Little slammed the Fulton County District Attorney's office Monday afternoon. ..."The Fulton County District Attorney's Office has once again shown that they have no respect for the integrity of the grand jury process," Findling and Little said. "This was not a simple administrative mistake. A proposed indictment should only be in the hands of the District Attorney's Office, yet it somehow made its way to the clerk's office and was assigned a case number and a judge before the grand jury even deliberated....." 

....When asked by Fox News for an explanation of the leak, Willis deflected. ...."No, I can't tell you anything about what you refer to," Willis said. "What I can tell you is that we had a grand jury here in Fulton County. They deliberated till almost 8:00, if not right after 8:00, an indictment was returned. It was true billed. And you now have an indictment....I am not an expert on clerks duties or even administrative duties. I wouldn't know how to work that system. And so I'm not going to speculate. Next question...."
