It didn't feel like that, maybe more like 45% Mahomes, 35% cousins and the remaining 20% mariota. Which is probably about right. But I am geeking out a bit getting a glimpse into the more personal lives of these players.

It wasn't just that, I was really kind of surprised with cousins. His wife dresses him, shops at target, modest home for what he makes from what I could tell... I'm not quite getting the mariota intrigue, but not giving up on it yet either.

I'll have to check this out. The idea of following these 3 is pretty intriguing, the best, a middle of the pack guy, and a guy struggling to get or keep a job. They have it all covered. I can go without ever seeing Mahomes wife or brother though. Hopefully they aren't involved much.

And Peyton Manning is producing it My favorite part of episode 1 was Mahomes interaction with Max Crosby. Crosby is trying to get in his head early, giving him a jab and gets to Mahomes, but has the opposite effect; Mahomes gets after him, goes on to throw 4tds to Kelce then goes up to max and tells him "I love you brother" after the game Crosby = And Brittney was interviewed, and you won't think much better of her for it but all the spouses and family are part of it, so you get to see who they are outside of being an nfl qb. cmh6476 1,023 Posted July 14, 2023 7 minutes into episode 2 and this thing is on point. Dives so deep into the position and the person. Phenomenal.
cmh6476 1,023 Posted July 14, 2023 We went to that farm as a family last year too, but I didn't get to go with no one else there (still episode 2) I'm like fist pumping as chiefs score, sighing with Britney as the bills get the best of us. Then transition to Marcus and his lame o personality. More Mahomes
cmh6476 1,023 Posted July 14, 2023 Wasn't it one of the falcons that got disciplined early for gambling? I mean the falcons had the 4th qtr lead on their first three games and lost all 3? That fumble seemed shady af And mariota doesn't seem like he cares enough about football not to lose games. It's like all he wants is for it to be over and move back to the islands. cmh6476 1,023 Posted July 14, 2023 And cousins could have been lead in glee lmfao. Kirk cousins is a cool fockin dude. But this series, in my opinion is really just illustrating the different level Mahomes is on. The training, the work ethic (Cousins is taking a day off each week to go read books and take his kids to school) is all just on a different level. I was also shocked to see Mahomes started his training plan with the dude he is working with now back in 4th grade, and moved him to KC. You literally see all they go through to get him ready throughout the week, and you have to believe there is something to it they way he has been so resilient and able to recover from injury seemingly quicker than others. And also, Cousins and Mariota are taking a pounding each game, and thank god our o-line is more competent as we have a much more prized possession to protect than any other team, from what I can tell. It's pretty evident if you watch this series, Mahomes is doing things at least these other two in comparison are not doing. I also can't imagine this series won't continue in future years. I would be watching no matter what players are featured.

Mahomes is 27, he doesnt have to worry about all of that yet.

The russian people are demanding that the US is nuked. its only Putin holding it at bay at this point. do you realize that the US has attacked and bombed Moscow this year? They did it via proxy under the NATO flag under the Ukrainian flag, but the training, ammo and weapons came from the US. If Moscow attacked and bombed Washington DC, the American people would demand that the US nuke Russia and you would understand that sentiment. Its just that the reverse has happened and we bombed Moscow and the MSM wont report it.

Hawkeye21 2,398 Posted July 14, 2023 I've heard conflicting reviews on the show. I've seen analysts like Schefter saying it's good and then others like Zachariason say it's not good. Some even saying it's unwatchable.
cmh6476 1,023 Posted July 14, 2023 We're heading to gulf shores this week, so came home early and started episode 4. The things you get to see cousins do for play call memorization and exercise to increase focus, and the play calling of Andy Reid and his players will blow your mind. cmh6476 1,023 Posted July 14, 2023 Britney comes off as a bad azz b1sch once you watch. Only see Jackson a couple times but he's not part of it.
cmh6476 1,023 Posted July 14, 2023 Mahomes is a focking dawg. Britney "he needs to get out of the game. He can't even walk." Pat sr. "He ain't getting out of the game it ain't in his dna". This sh1t got me emotional, you guys. One episode to go. I'm headed to dinner with the wife then going to finish the last one later. Don't miss this. If this was Brady or Jordan or Gretzky in their prime, I would be enthralled with this even if on a different level in terms of fandom.
cmh6476 1,023 Posted July 14, 2023 I watched half of episode 7 without my wife as she is getting ready. I am rewinding to stop where cousins reads to his kid so she can watch the rest of it focusing on the Chiefs versus jags game while I watch again. Then we'll both watch the last episode for the first time together later.
cmh6476 1,023 Posted July 14, 2023 I have a newfound appreciation for Peyton Manning for being the executive producer of this. I'm going to hand write something to him to let him know after I saw kirk cousins take Tuesdays off to respond to fainmail.
