what was the "reasoning" behind dropping the playoffs to 70 players this season? It's coming during the first full year of LIV so was it just to make event 1 not look like a fall event without Cam, DJ, Bryson, Brooks, Reed etc.?  When you lose a few stars as well as a handful of known names who would be in the playoffs normally, maybe the PGA felt like a field of 125 was going to look way too watered down to be considered the playoffs?
