We're gearing up for a bad hurricane season here in Coastal, SC. The water temperatures are very warm and all signs point to a busy September/October. We're over due.

This year is different.

The ocean temperature is ridiculous right now, 101.1, perhaps a global record, off Florida. 

Forecasters a few days ago altered their prediction from near normal to above normal.

By the way, we're going to a Nationals game tomorrow night!

True that. It has been a while since the Carolinas saw a nasty one.

Meanwhile, southern California is forecated to get tropical weather in hasn't seen since the 1930s and in a short time get a quarter to half of the precipitation that it gets in a year.

Lots of flash flooding and mudslides.

 This is the hottest summer that nawlins has ever had since they started recording them. The last ten days we’ve experienced a hundred degrees heat with the index over. One fifteen. Fawking brutal August. The scary thing about it is the Gulfs tempatures are higher than ever recorded. That’s a recipe for dis disaster as that is the fuel that excelerate their strengthening. I’m very concerned about the next month.
