rules: best roster of people not currently projected in fftodays rankings to be a QB1, WR1, RB1 or TE1 (so no players ranked top 12 in fftoday's rankings) and players who you think will exceed their ADP

assume a 12 team league and assume a roster of 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB and one TE.   kickers and defense are optional (include them if you want)  same rules

to start Lets go

I wills start with:

QB    Aaron Rodgers

RB  Isiah Pacheco and Dameon Pierce

WR  Hopkins and Brandon Cooks

TE Dawson Knox

what this exercise does is force you to think outside the box a bit.

anyone can pick a top 12 WR or top 12 RB.   80% of the teams out there will get a good player  with their first round pick.  Probably their second and third round pick too.

but picking guys outside of the top 12 for each position......  this is where your draft is usually won (or lost)

if you can put together credible starters with players outside the top 12 and successfully draft  many of them later in your draft.... chances are good that you will have a good team.

probably I should have made it tougher and said nobody ranked inside the top 20 on fftoday lists.   Then you would REALLY get some interesting names come out.

I’ll play outside top 20…

Carr / Pickett

Montgomery / Pacheco

Ridley / DJ Moore

Juwan

Carr is outside the top 20?

at that price I'd be buying him all day long.

Nico Collins

I like this pick.

If he wins the WR1 job he could have himself a real nice season.

C Kirk, I think he will score more .5 ff points then Ridley.

A Gibson, I think he will be the top scoring rb on the Redskins.

Charbonnet he will share workload with Walker, and Bigsby  the same with Etienne.

Olave with the Saints.

I love garbage time WRs, I'm keying on guys like Collins and Hollywood brown, they could be playing from behind a lot.

Add Mims to this list for early season deep leagues. I am also really intrigued by Van Jefferson's role (as usual) but he never seems to capitalize. Hopefully a healthy Stafford can lead to a breakout year... otherwise it seems his career ceiling will be a poor man's Tyler Boyd...

well, he(Jefferson) got hurt the year he was supposed to break out.   In the July Mock I got him very late in that draft (likely last or second to last round) and was happy to get him at that point.
