I think we need to give 3 and 4 parent homes more of a chance.

How's the crime rate and schooling in the Mormon community?  ;)

When I was a kid the Mattel hand held electronic games were all the rage (not that I had any). When kids were playing them in class guess what happened ? They were taken away. And then they weren’t allowed in the school at all. But I guess it’s impossible to say no phones in school. Just can’t be done. There was a smoking area in my high school too. They got rid of it eventually.

you can't go anywhere in the USA today and not see at least 50% of a family on their phones. Doesn't matter where you go.

It won't ever happen, but if certain places started blocking the internet, things would get a lot better. School would be the 1st place to start.

Just use paint that acts like a faraday cage and blocks all signals

WTF do you people live?  Schools around here do things like making kids keep the phone in their locker, take them away, jamming tech, etc..

But as you point out - let's not pretend this is a issue with just school kids.    Most of the time it's the "do as I say" parents, and they are just as addicted to their phones, if not moreso.   I started noticing it 10+ years ago when my now 16yo was 4 or so.   We would go to the park or an indoor sports place.   Kids running around, parents not paying attention and on their phones.   Barely anybody actually interacts with each other more - on the phone or at least have earbuds in.

Also, the schools help start them on the path.  Chromebooks for kindergarteners now, so they can't complain too much about kids being on tech too much.

100%   When I see a family of 4 all on their phones out to dinner I wish evil things.

I think one thing that would help is starting to leave manhole covers off and let people just fall in.

Dinner, dates, family functions, it's everywhere.

It became a reason I started to hate going to concerts and other things.    Put your damn phone down and enjoy the people you are with and the event you are at, people.

The recording sh1t on your phone is silly. No one ever goes back to watch it. Just waiting for their viral video moment to happen.

I have seen people in front of me at a show largely watch it through their phone as they record it.   WTF?  Why in the world would you pay that money just to watch it on a 5" screen?   Going after the clicks instead of enjoying what you are doing - that sums up our society as a whole.

I think we should avoid such statements, keep in mind that what you just said is an accepted talking point about Trump.  How about we stop pretending its the end of the world because someone ideologically different might gain power?

Biden has nothing to do with the AA culture that feeds this entire problem.   And before that retard Gutter tried to repaint my words, he might want to consider that AA folks happily accept this fact, and it has been demonstrated in popular culture overall....
