Stryker Ryker 188 Posted December 26, 2023 What was your favorite gift you received this year for Christmas? For me it’s the annual pass for both the aquarium & the annual pass to all the parks here in SC. We love to travel & explore so it’s perfect for us

weepaws 3,193 Posted December 26, 2023 We adopted a brother and sister, we fostered the brother for 3 years and sister for 2. They are 4&3. That’s great gift. Let’s stop the abortion card. Thanks.
DonS 3,292 Posted December 26, 2023 My kids bought me a nice Buffalo Bills decanter set. The decanter and glasses are nice and hefty. Immediately filled it with the Laphroaig 10 I had in the cupboard. Fits nicely above my desk. I now feel like I'm in Mad Men. 1
Drizzay 722 Posted December 26, 2023 I got one of those fancy smart watch thingies. Now I can monitor exactly how much activity I don't do!
jerryskids 6,799 Posted December 26, 2023 My wife booked us a three-day getaway in the wine country up north, a little west of Sedona. Cottonwood/Jerome area. Included is a ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad. https://verdecanyonrr.com/ We'll do some hiking in and around Sedona, visit wineries and the quaint little towns, and fock like 56 yr old rabbits. Side note: this is the area that Maynard James Keenan, front man for Tool, has his wineries. My daughter and I did a day trip to Sedona last month, and cut through this area on the way back, visiting one of Keenan's wine rooms (Caduceus was the brand). Surprisingly good wine. The wine from this region has really blossomed in the past decade or so.

I briefly considered checking out his winery over the weekend but then realized it would've been about a 4.5 hr drive.

I was able to find them through Ancestry, which was a Christmas present from my new wifey two years ago.

We didn't have much time at the end of the day, so we just checked out the Caduceus tasting room. I haven't looked into tours of the actual vineyard (or any others in the area), but we will do so for the upcoming trip.

As if staying in Yuma wasn't bad enough, we end up having to drive ~1.5 hrs to get to the test site in the Yuma Proving Grounds. Yeah that gets old real focking quick. Had to look that up, never heard of it. I thought it would be part of the ginormous Goldwater Air Force range but apparently it's its own thing in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure the nightlife was great.
