Not sure how you get there from that article.   I just glanced at another article that read in 2022 the FBI fielded 6000 school threats, which was a 60% increase from the year before.   There was also no detail about what exactly was being said in the chatroom.   Yes, it's possible the FBI blew it.  It's also possible there was not enough to act directly on, but enough in that chat to get it closed down.   Maybe I missed something in the article.

Yeah, it literally says the chatroom was shut down prior to the shooting, and the report to the FBI was about the chat room as a whole, no mention of Butler’s username.  The only mention of anything specific from Butler was 10 minutes before the shooting.

Dylan seemed to have at least been dabbling in the LGBTQ waters a bit in some exploratory stage of gender questioning or whatever its called. How deeply involved he was, I can't rightly tell but the allegations indicating that he had the flag in his bio and subscribed to a number of alphabet channels seem true.
