Can Ilhan Omar Be Deported? Republicans Call for Her Removal

Recommended Posts

I don't see why her comments call for deportation.  She's taking sides in some Somalia border dispute?  BFD. I guess you can argue that's inappropriate for a US Rep, but deport her?

I'd rather deport her because she seems to hate America.  :dunno:

Stop repeating conservative talking points. There is very little that Biden can do about this by executive order. He needs more manpower and judges. And even if he could do something you guys would simply challenge it in courts and call him a dictator. Such hypocrites.

So he can’t do what Trump did?

That doesn't mean anything.  Anyone who is not a natural born citizen can have their citizenship revoked.

Immigration lawyer Rosanna Berardi told Newsweek that since Omar is a naturalized U.S. citizen, calls for deportation lack legal ground unless the individual in question gained citizenship through nefarious means such as fraud, misrepresentation or membership in certain organizations—or being dishonorably discharged ...

Right, she can be deported.

Not if she hasn't met the criteria for deportation, which it appears she hasn't.

Your exact quote: "She can't be deported, she is an American Citizen"

True or false?

False. I stand corrected.

What I should have said is that she can't be deported because she doesn't meet any of the criteria for deportation. 😁

She strikes me as not a good person and I disagree with her views too much to ever vote for her or support her.

At the same time, many of the attacks against her are racist, xenophobic, and anti-Muslim.

Nah, most of it has to do with her views and actions.  Plus she paid her hubby 2.7 million so like Bush she knows how to work the system

Don`t let the Dem squad fool ya,   they like the $$$$$.

It’s crickets because it’s a stupid question. I’ve attacked Ms Omer many times on questions of policy and for some of her extremist comments. I have legitimate criticisms of her. But I don’t attack her for her race, her name, her religion, her sex, her original nationality. Those that do (and there are plenty here and elsewhere) are engaging in bigotry. If you’re talking about deporting her, and you’re serious about it, you’re xenophobic at best and probably a bigot.

I shouldn’t have had to explain that to you.

Attacking her for being divisive or shooting her mouth of on dumb sh1t all the time or anything else related to her job performance is not racist or xenophobic.

But saying she should be deported?

I mean, you can’t deport someone for being a sucky congressional representative.

So yeah, that’s obviously based on her race and/or religion and makes you a POS for advocating that.

HTH!

So you won’t say which ones. Should be easy enough.  In this very thread I said she shouldn’t be deported. And I am a Xenophobe, as far as the definition of it is. Not what you say it is. Just say racist. But you have destroyed that word and move on to another. It’s what you people do.

Well, I disagree. She said she’s here to serve Somalia or some such. Want to give that a shot? That’s why people say she ought to be deported.

Xenophobe - fear or dislike of anything that is foreign or strange. Yup. I’m one. What’s the word for all the things you fear or dislike or think are strange, Tim?

You don’t think it’s a bad thing to be fearful of anything foreign? How pathetic. I’m frankly surprised you would admit it.

To answer your question: if I fear something or someone  it had better be for a very specific proven reason. And I don’t fear groups of people because that’s the height of bigotry.

What does it matter what my feelings are? My belief in the law overrides how I feel. Hence, if their presence here is legal, and they become citizens, they are entitled to the freedoms this country provides. And I will defend them if they are treated with injustice. I’d rather they stay out and try and unfock the countries they leave. World would be a better place.

The lure of America should be freedom, not free stuff.

Most of those countries didn’t screw themselves up all by themselves. We played an important role. Partly because of greed, partly because of the Cold War, the USA propped up unstable regimes all over Latin America, Asia, and Africa. We are continuing to pay the price for that and will be for a long time. You break it you own it.

It is. Any assumption otherwise is delusional.

Then why all the free stuff? We didn’t do that before. People weren’t given cash cards and a hotel room after they came through Ellis Island. Or four years ago.

It’s their country. They should fight for it and make it better. And how come most of these illegals are military age men, that enter  by themselves? What kind of man leaves his family in such a dangerous situation in imminent danger?

Yeah, it took a bunch of sociopathic liberals and open borders to push them over the edge.

You do understand that her views on policy are a direct result of her race, religion, gender, and nationality... right?

No, it is a tabloid that people on the right here link to all the time (UK equivalent of the NY Post).

Nothing to see here.

Rep. Ilhan Omar has funneled nearly $2.8 million to her husband’s political consulting company since the beginning of 2019.

Omar’s campaign paid $1.6 million to E Street Group LLC, which is owned by her husband, Tim Mynett, from the start of 2019 to July 22, 2020, citing Federal Election Commission data.

Another $1.1 million was sent to her husband`s company in the third quarter and another $27,000 in the following weeks.

That $1.1 million figure represented 70 percent of the $1.6 million that her campaign spent in those three months, the report said.

You mean the NY Post that got taken on the Hunter Laptop? They didn’t know it was a Russian plant. The rest of the left wing media was on top of it.
