I find it hard to believe doctor's are systemically telling patients pain is all in their head, and if you do have a doctor telling you that, just go to a different doctor.  

I only go to doctors when something is majorly wrong though, so maybe I'm out of touch.  When you have a swollen knee or a broken leg, they tend to prescribe pain meds without asking.

Well of course you can.  At your munchkin size you don't have a lot of body mass to pull up.  I'm guessing you have to put weights on your ankles to hold you down.
