Trump's NY Election Interference Trial - Trump is found guilty on all 34 counts

Recommended Posts

I fully expect our hero to be found guilty by this Kangaroo Court.  My question for the Trump haters is what do you want to happen next?

Do you want Biden running unopposed in November?

How did we go from Gary Hart's presidential campaign ending with his photo on a boat named risky business to this azzhole getting the nomination despite all these criminal charges and scandals around him.

It's sick.

I'm going to pinch my nose, vote for Biden and hope the Republiturd party can alienate the MAGAturds, move to the middle and come up with a moderate candidate for 2028.

I thought the boat was called Monkey Business but it has been decades, so who remembers.  My wife and her sister are Colorado natives and they were volunteers for Hart.  Both are attractive, gymnasts, cheerleaders, homecoming queens.  Both found Hart unusually solicitous they only time they ran into him at a campaign event.

Let’s skip over cigars in twats, cumstains on a blue dress, rape accusations and I didn’t inhale.

This doesn’t explain why Trump became the nom. The guy hosted “Celebrity Apprentice” .

Inexplicable to me considering the man was a life-long Dem up until just years before, and he was and is little more than a carnival barker.  It could not have happened withoutthe efforts of the media who were desperate to have hillary's opponent be the weakest opponent they could imagine.  In the end we Americans love self-promoters, brash loud mouths.  I ws taught differently, but there it is.

Abusing the legal system as they have to take down a political opponent is seriously dark stuff.

You two are hilarious---it's election interference to try someone for interfering in an election(and he's done it in 2 election no less)..  No fair!!!  :(

Trump will be running. If he somehow weren’t why would Biden run unopposed just select a new person.

No, it's election interference to put on a charade of a trial to convict a political opponent that even the federal government said, "Nah, this isn't a winning proposition".

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends
We're so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside
There behind a glass stands a real horse's ass
Be careful as you pass, move along, move along
Come inside, the show's about to start
Guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you'll get your money's worth
Greatest show in Heaven, Hell or Earth
You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo
You've got to see the show, it's rock and roll, oh
Right before your eyes we pull laughter from the skies
And he laughs until he cries, then he dies, then he dies
Come inside, the show's about to start
Guaranteed to blow your head apart
You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo
You've got to see the show, it's rock and roll, oh
Soon the Porno Queen in a glaze of vaseline
Will perform something obscene, what a scene, what a scene
Next upon the stand will you please extend a hand
To  a felon whose a clown just all the way around
Roll up, roll up, roll up
See the show
Performing on a stool we've a sight to make you drool
Seven virgins and a fool, keep it cool, keep it cool
We would like it to be known the exhibits that were shown
Were exclusively our own, all our own, all our own
Come and see the show, come and see the show
Come and see the show
See the show

Susan Hoffinger resumes the Direct Examination of Michael Cohen. People's 32: email from Jeff McConney (Controller of Trump Org who reported to Allen Weisselberg) to MC 2/6/17 reminding Cohen to get him invoices "you spoke to Allen about"

Now: Cohen testifies about a visit to the White House on February 8th (2017). Trump asked him, while the two of them were in the Oval Office, if Cohen was doing ok and if he needed money. Cohen said he was ok and Trump said for Cohen to deal with AW. Trump said a check for Jan. and Feb. would be forthcoming.

EMAIL FROM COHEN TO JEFF MCCONNEY (2/14/17) "Jeff, Sorry for the delay and thank you for the reminder. Please have the monthly checks for January and February made payable to Michael D. Cohen, Esq. and sent to (REDACTED) Hope you are well and see you soon."

EMAIL FROM MCCONNEY TO COHEN "Mike, Please send me invoices so I can have the checks cut. Thanks, Jeff"

EMAIL FROM COHEN TO MCCONNEY "Jeff, Please remind me of the monthly amount?"

COHEN: I didn’t have a copy of the document made with Weisselberg. It would’ve been on a retainer agreement, but there was none.

HOFFINGER: you had a retainer monthly amount

COHEN: Yes

HOFFINGER: But there was no retainer?

COHEN: Correct

COHEN: I created a document and called it an invoice: "kindly remit payment for services rendered for the months of January and February"

HOFFINGER: thereafter, did you send monthly invoices?

COHEN: Yes, i copied and pasted

HOFFINGER: The invoice says for services rendered, for the month of January and February?

COHEN: Yes, ma'am.

HOFFINGER: Were there services rendered? '

COHEN: No, ma'am.

HOFFINGER: And "for services rendered", was that a truthful statement?

COHEN: “No ma’am”

HOFFINGER: What was the true purpose?

COHEN: The reimbursement of hush money and Red Finch

HOFFINGER: “Was this invoice a false record?”

COHEN: “Yes, ma’am”

HOFFINGER: Each invoice made the same false representation?

COHEN: Yes, ma'am

HOFFINGER: Each one, who were they directed to? COHEN: Allen Weisselberg and Jeff McConney

HOFFINGER: Were any of the invoices that you created for services rendered pursuant to a retainer agreement?

COHEN: “No ma’am, they were for reimbursement.”

HOFFINGER: in response to those 11 false invoices, did you receive 11 checks totaling $420,000?

COHEN: Yes, ma'am.

HOFFINGER: Were the check stubs false?

COHEN: Yes

HOFFINGER: “There was no retainer agreement, is that right?”

COHEN: “That’s correct”

Cohen says the signatures on this first check are from Eric Trump and Allen Weisselberg because the check came from the Donald J. Revocable Trust, whose beneficial owner was Donald J. Trump.

HOFFINGER: Do you recognize the signatures on the check?

COHEN: Allen Weisselberg and Eric Trump

HOFFINGER: From what account is the check drawn?

COHEN: Donald J Trump Revocable Trust account

HOFFINGER: Who is the owner

COHEN: Donald J Trump

The prosecution is methodically walking Cohen through each of the checks, check stubs, etc. for the monthly payments made to Cohen. He testifies that the info on the check stub that these are payments pursuant a retainer is not true.

HOFFINGER: “After the last check was sent to you in December of 2017, you never received any other checks from Mr. Trump or his Trusts, is that correct?”

COHEN: That’s correct.

HOFFINGER: Or from the trump organization

COHEN: That’s correct.

HOFFINGER: I want to talk about the work you did in 2017, with respect to your role as personal attorney for President Trump. Did you do any work for Pres Trump or Melania?

COHEN: “Minimal”, “There was a matter that dealt with an individual by the name of Summer Zervos.”

HOFFINGER: Did you send a bill or invoice to Trump Org. for that work?

COHEN: No, I didn’t expect to be paid and it wasn’t enough work for me to send an invoice

HOFFINGER: On the Summer Zervos issue… who was the lawyer dealing with that?

COHEN: Mark Kasowitz.

HOFFINGER: Did you receive work from Alan Garten?

COHEN: Also minimal

HOFFINGER: Did you consider that work that he sent you legal work?

COHEN: No

HOFFINGER: Did you do any legal work for Mr Trump in 2018?

COHEN: I did legal work in 2018

COHEN: “As a result of the Stormy Daniels matter and her electing to go public, Mr. Trump wanted an arbitration action filed against her” for the breach of the NDA.

COHEN: “So I was contacted by Eric Trump and Mr. Trump regarding how to go forward on this non-disclosure agreement.”

HOFFINGER: did you get paid [for that work]?

COHEN: No

HOFFINGER: Did you bill for the work in 2018?

COHEN: No

HOFFINGER: How many clients did you have in 2017 and 2018?

COHEN: 5 HOFFINGER: what kind of work?

COHEN: consulting

HOFFINGER: how much total did you earn from those clients?

COHEN: approximately 4 million

Now, the prosecution starts to ask Cohen about his subpoenaed testimony before the House and Senate Intelligence Cmte re the Russia investigation?

COHEN: They did.

HOFFINGER: Under pressure at the time?

COHEN: “A tremendous amount of pressure”

HOFFINGER: Did you have an attorney representing you?

COHEN: I did, Trump Org was paying for it, it was part of a joint defense agreement, which is when the employer and the people are working together for a common goal

COHEN: trump org paid for attorney, it was “very much so” important that trump org was paying for that attorney

HOFFINGER: Did you lie ?

COHEN: I did. The lies dealt with the Trump Tower Moscow real estate project, specifically the number of times that I claimed to have spoken to Mr. Trump…

I said I only spoke to Pres. Trump about the project three times when I had really spoken about it ten times

HOFFINGER: did you say those communications stopped earlier than they did? Why did you make those false statements to Congress?

COHEN: Because I was staying on Trump’s message, and "there was no Russia, Russia, Russia" and that was what was preferred.

HOFFINGER: Did you continue to lie about Mr Trump's involvement in the Stormy Daniels payoff and pressure Keith Davidson to lie about the payoffs to Karen McDougal?

COHEN: yes

HOFFINGER: Why did you do that?

COHEN: “in order to protect Mr. Trump”

Now questions to Cohen about the WSJ ARTICLE: TRUMP LAWYER ARRANGED $130,000 PAYMENT FOR ADULT-FILM STAR’S SILENCE

HOFFINGER: When the story was coming out did you comment publicly?

COHEN: yes, to reporters and others

HOFFINGER: Did you tell the truth about Trump's role in the payoff?

COHEN: No, ma'am

HOFFINGER: how did you reach Trump in 2018?

COHEN: By contacting Madeleine Westerhout or over the cell phone

HOFFINGER: who was Madeleine Westerhout at the time?

COHEN: White House secretary who sat outside the Oval Office

HOFFINGER: Did you discuss with President Trump the statements that you were going to be releasing publicly in 2018, meaning statements that Trump did not know or was not involved in the payoffs?

COHEN: “Yes”

HOFFINGER: what did you tell Trump about those statements?

COHEN: “that I had paid the money on his behalf without his knowledge”

HOFFINGER: How did he respond?

COHEN: "that’s good, good."

“In a private transaction in 2016, before the U.S. presidential election, Mr. Cohen used his own personal funds to facilitate a payment of $130,000 to Ms. Stephanie Clifford. Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed Mr. Cohen for the payment directly or indirectly.”

HOFFINGER: “Was that statement false or misleading?

COHEN: Misleading. While crafting the statement, we elected to state neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction. That’s a true statement…” “But it’s misleading.”

COHEN: “It was neither the Trump organization nor the Trump campaign; it was Donald J. Trump himself.”

HOFFINGER: why?

COHEN: “In order to protect mr. trump, to stay on message, to demonstrate continued loyalty.”

MERCHAN: You just saw the FEC complaint and the statement from Cohen. You may use that to judge the witness’s credibility, and for context. “You may consider that testimony for those purposes only. Neither the fact of the FEC investigation, or the responses thereto constitute evidence of the defendant's guilt.”

MERCHAN: “And you may not consider them” when deciding if defendant is guilty of charged crimes.

HOFFINGER: At the same time, did you also provide that statement to Jay Sekulow?

COHEN: I did, he was representing Trump, he’s an attorney HOFFINGER: why did you send to him?

HOFFINGER: Around Feb. 2018, did the WSJ reach out to you about AMI’s payoff of Karen McDougal?

COHEN: Yes ma’am

HOFFINGER: Did they reach out to you about an FEC complaint about AMI’s payoff of Karen McDougal?

COHEN: Yes

HOFFINGER: Do you recall what the WSJ was asking you about?

COHEN: AMI’s participation in the payoff, and David Pecker

HOFFINGER: Did they ask at all about your involvement or Mr. Trump’s involvement?

COHEN: Yes.

COHEN: David [Pecker] was very concerned because it was going to affect AMI and affect him so I told him that I would assist with this matter, and I told him after conversations with the president, do not worry I have this thing under control we have it taken care of.

HOFFINGER: What did you tell Pecker?

COHEN: “I told him that the matter was going to be taken care of, and the person that was going to be able to do it was JEFF SESSIONS.”

Cohen said he had been told by Trump that Sessions would handle it.
