Did you just put forth as an argument that trad cath was practiced for 2000k years until 1965?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA'

Riddle me this Mr. Patent, do you believe the cult member Butker's social views are consistent with say THE POPE?

Good gravy you'll argue any point.  What's weird is that you don't seem to understand how you come off sounding like a moron.

Trad Caths do not represent the views of the vast majority of Catholics today.  65 years ago yes.  When blacks couldn't drink out of white water fountains and men could beat their women if they wanted.

GREAT TIMES!

Many Catholics disagree with the Pope and want a more conservative Church, not just Trad Catholics.  It's been in the news and everything just this week.

Trad Catholic talking to Catholics is like atheist talking to a Christian school.  Perfect analogy.  SMH

Yip yip.

The graduating females in the audience didn't like it.  But leave it to the males here to tell the women that their feelings don't matter and that is was a good speech for them to listen to.

Ehhh... again, I think he could have done it better.  Instead of coming off as "you should" he could have been more "I hope you become open to, if not now, then later in life."

I think my story is a great example.  My wife graduated, got a job, we met at work.  We mutually decided for her to stay home with the kids.  Much later we had some financial issues, and the kids were older, and she went back to work.  Now, I've retired because of my cancer and she is our primary earner.  Her college education gave her the flexibility to focus on career or family based on our situation.  That IMO is true feminism, true freedom for a woman.

All of them?  Or that one TikTok video.  Didn't she say something about 10 of them not clapping, or walking out?  I forget exactly.  But my impression was that most of the people in the audience applauded.

Holy phuk you argue like a woman.  Now you're stuck on an analogy I threw in at the last minute to give you some idea of how a cult member talking about women being beholden to men at a college graduation was tone deaf.

And no boyo, the vast majority of catholics approve of the Pope and understand that going backwards socially ain't how progress is made.

"A new Pew Research Center survey finds that 75% of U.S. Catholics view Pope Francis favorably, down 8 percentage points since we last asked this question in 2021 and 15 points below his peak favorability rating, which was 90% in early 2015."

https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2024/04/12/majority-of-u-s-catholics-express-favorable-view-of-pope-francis/#:~:text=Read the questions used in,was 90% in early 2015.

Can you give us the numbers of the patents you authored so we can all steer clear of any products that you may have actually been involved in designing.

Cause you dumb AF which is why you made your living not with your brain but by getting hammered with customers.

Strong strong life's work boyo...

That is all anyone is saying.  Rather than dictating to the lowly women like he was (he's a man after all, they're just women) he could have phrase the same ideas in a different way but christian cultist think they know what's best for you and your family so that's the narrative they push.

I argue like a chick?  One of us took a comment about your analogy sucking and threw a bunch of shiot at the wall hoping something would stick.  That, my lady, is how a chick argues.

The analogy had nothing to do with what I'm arguing moron.  I could go back and delete it and still make my points.

The girl in the room (you) for some feminine reason latched onto it and decided to act like it was the central point I was trying to make.

A man, when shown that his analogy sucked, would have said something like "yeah, that wasn't great, I only did it as part of being a pseud and desperately needing to feel that my Leftie clique is superior to others.  But my other points still stand."  Then I could have chosen to discuss your other points.

Instead, you argued that a Trad Catholic talking to Catholics is a perfect analogy to an atheist talking to a Christian college, then spew a bunch of other stuff like a chick does in an argument.

We've discussed the TLM; what is your hangup with this?  He is a Catholic talking to Catholics.  He wasn't talking to you.

Also, amazing that this gets 16 pages while by far the worst speech of the week -- Biden telling Morehouse graduates that their country hates them -- gets barely a blip.

And even among Catholics he was saying it was a “necessity.”  Like I said when I first brought it up, it’s just another example of why I thought pretty much the whole speech was disingenuous.  He tries to pass off his comments as just giving his opinion while simultaneously making comments that suggest his opinion is superior.

Edit: Trump’s entire campaign slogan is saying our country wasn’t great, what’s your point?

True.  Here were his exact words:

It’s natural to wonder if democracy you hear about actually works for you.

What is democracy if Black men are being killed in the street?

What is democracy if a trail of broken promises still leave Black -- Black communities behind?

What is democracy if you have to be 10 times better than anyone else to get a fair shot?

And most of all, what does it mean, as we’ve heard before, to be a Black man who loves his country even if it doesn’t love him back in equal measure?  (Applause.)

You win, it's much better.

Know what you're right.  Women deserve more respect then to be lumped in with anal retentive, facts constantly wrong jackholes like Jerry.

Dude literally argued that Biden changed his stance on Israel due to protests and backed it with "facts" from an opinion piece.  He then spent a whole day arguing that tik tok users were excluded from a survey when they were clearly included.

Other than all the patents he's responsible for because he's so gosh darn smart and successful WTF does Jerry bring to any conversation other than being wrong every time?

Seriously, what's happened to you?  You used to be smart and witty.  Now you troll around supporting a 60 IQ reject from FBGs.

I made the mistake of engaging with BeachBlade by telling him, rightfully so, that his analogy sucked.  Like I said earlier, he is a yip yip special needs dog who just keeps spewing shiot thinking that volume of diarrhea makes him correct.  I'll think hard about it in the future.

I'm going to respond to @TimHauck because we are having an adult conversation, then I'm moving on because I have some things to do.  As opposed to, apparently, a VP of corporate finance for a large company.

Carry on.

But anyway I don’t see much issue with this comment.  Overall his speech seemed fine, albeit a little race-baity.  But like Butker speaking at a Catholic school, he was speaking at an all-male HBCU, so that’s not too surprising IMO.

The one comment I take issue with is him blaming white supremacy for “black men being killed on the streets.”

I had to look it up.  Short answer is:  kinda, maybe, if you can make it work.

Quote

“The Church does not teach that women are committing a mortal sin if they work outside the home—specifically moms. Sometimes it’s a matter of necessity—you just don’t have a choice. … But it often happens that because of financial necessity … mom does some work outside the home to make ends meet. There’s nothing whatsoever wrong with that,” explained Patrick.

If a mother chooses to work outside the home and there is no serious financial reason for her to do so, does she have a heightened obligation to stay home? “This is where there is a bit of a gray area,” says Patrick. “The Church does teach as a general precept that parents are obliged and we have this serious duty before God to do everything we can within our abilities and to the extent that we know better, to do everything we can to see to the upbringing of our children.”

https://relevantradio.com/2019/09/should-catholic-moms-stay-at-home-not-necessarily/#:~:text=“The Church does not teach, home to make ends meet.

That same link also calls for fathers to be engaged with their families, as Butker did in his speech.

Quote

The same could be said for dads and a host of various situations. “The Church doesn’t say that you can’t go to, I don’t know, like, a bingo parlor. But if dad, after work, has a gambling addiction and he goes to the bingo parlor and he’s gambling and gambling and not only losing the family’s money but also he’s spending time away from his wife and children to their detriment—he’s committing a sin,” explains Patrick. The Church doesn’t say that having a job or going to a bar are sinful, but they could be the means by which a sin—such as neglecting one’s duty to one’s family—is committed.

The above is not an official statement from the Church of course.

I already admitted that.  So I guess we are talking apathy (lack of love) vs. hatred?

You have no problem with the POTUS telling graduates that the country they love does not love them back in equal measure?

Dude, we get it you and your liberal friends hate women. You're trying to replace them in sports, you let men into their changing rooms, and call mothers "birthing persons". You try and force everyone to call mentally ill men women. It's painfully obvious and disgusting what your side is doing.

Give it a rest all ready.
