5 yr 275 million- 200 million guaranteed. Ooof, feels like an overpay.

If you look at their numbers Lawrence and Daniel Jones are the same person

They paid him to early.

'21) Let's toss out his god awful rookie year with Urban Meyer... that's fair.

'22) 4,113 yds, 25 Td / 8 Int, 95.2 pass rating

'23) 4,016 yds, 21 Td / 14 Int, 88.5 pass rating

................................................................

5 years with $200 mill guaranteed.?.  Bananas.  NY Giants Tommy DeVito finished with a higher passer rating last year. Perhaps Lawrence gets better eventually, but based on last season's stats, what the hell makes them think he will?  Just pure hope?  That's what the contract seems like. Hope... and desperation.

yeah, and his body of work does not compare to that of Burrow.  its an overpay.

but then again, Jaxonville has been overpaying people all along in free agency.  might as well overpay the QB too

You know what I love about this the MOST. This is absolutely going to cause Jerry to freak out and offer Dak 300 million dollars. Locking them into a QB that can only beat bad teams and causing them to miss out on the superbowl for the next 5 years .  It makes me so happy. No one is even going to bid for dak. Jerry is just going to hamstring himself.

It's amazing how some of these teams (ie jags, nyg & probably mia) refuse to let some of these average qb's test the free agent market.

Yup. Daniel Jones is going to have another average season and hold the Giants hostage with a massive deal.

I love Nabers but they should of drafted a QB

I guess they were between a rock and a hard place here.

On one hand, it would certainly be nice to see another season or two of good play from him before giving him big money.

On the other hand, his market value is it what it is at this point. $55 million a season seems pretty high right now, but in two more seasons it won't be so high.
