Gavin Newsom headed for White House visit on Wednesday to ‘stand with’ Biden

Here we go. Liberals are dumb enough to vote for this asswipe.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat who’s considered a frontrunner to replace Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential race if Biden were to step down, is scheduled to be at the White House on Wednesday to “stand with the President.”

“Governor Newsom will head to White House tomorrow to attend the Governors meeting and to stand with the President,” a spokesperson for Newsom said late Tuesday.

Newsom will reportedly stand alongside other Democratic governors to show support for Biden after last Thursday’s disastrous debate has many Democrats scrambling to see whether or not Biden’s fit to run for another term.

Oh fock they're having a "governor's meeting" at the White House to "stand by" Joe Biden.

Hopefully Jill keeps Joe secluded safely inside, while the rejected power-hungry governors hang outside at the gate and get beaten up by Hamas supporters.

He has to try to win back the people they lied to.  He is also going to do an interview, he should do rather well with that format. Have to lie harder to the people now that they are finally "seeing" him for what he is

This won't be hard at all.  You see people on this board all the time bashing Trump for lying and never holding Biden to that same standard.  It's always, "yeah, but Trump lies more" or "his lies aren't as bad", or some other crap like that.

Well....his handlers have set it up so that it will be a pre-recorded interview, which will of course allow for ample editing, and redo's....

These governors have already known he's like this for a long time. They hang out with him on dozens of occasions and its never bothered them until now.

They're just upset that now the secret is out and everybody else knows too.

Well, they can fock right off.

HalfWhit is particularly brazen. "I stand with Joe. I want Joe to know that I'm not at all responsible for all the 'Draft Gretch' movement catching steam. Also, Joe needs to know that there's no way in hell he can win Michigan now."

What a transparently backstabbing, self-serving c-unit.

Hopefully Jill and Hunter can fend these a$$holes off.

lol this guy and Harris have really put themselves front and center since the Thursday meltdown.

That Bashear fella from Kentucky is trying to get in on the act too. And of course we’re hearing from Whitmer as well.

But Newsom and Harris, man they were Johnny on the spots. That debate hadn’t been over for half an hour before they were getting themselves on national TV. They were ready.

Anyway, not a Newsom fan. It’s gotta be Harris imo. She wasn’t great in the primary campaign in 2020 and the White House did her no favors making her the supposed border czar, but I bet she’s learned a thing or two and is ready enough

Um, that’s true. Trump is a piece of sh1t and a huge liar. You have got to admit that if you want any credibility.

But even so, senility loses to piece of sh1t liar. At least Trump appears to know where he is

I hope it is a Spielberg production.  Maybe with Joe riding in on a velociraptor with his shirt open and brandishing excalibur.

Joe should wave Gavin off and point to HalfWhit.

edit: now that I think about it, the only one there that wouldn't want him dead is "Dr" Jill.

I would definitely let Whitmer give me mouf to mouf, she's MILFy

Actually, since I don't breathe through my mouth anymore, I'd tell her I breathe through my cack.  Worth a try.

Love that scene, as does anyone who has worked in sales.  Interesting factoid:  that scene wasn't in the original script, but was added by David Mamet to pay back a favor to Baldwin.

Quote

While Alec Baldwin has recently been in the news for more tragic reasons, one of his earlier roles has long been enshrined in popular sales culture. In the cult-favorite, GlenGarry Glen Ross, Baldwin plays Blake, a hard-charging sales manager brought in by Mitch and Murray, the unseen owners of Premier Properties, to light a fire under the sales team, unleashing a torrent of abuse that’s produced some of the most-quoted lines in sales movie history.

If you haven’t seen the movie or heard the monologue (you can watch it here) you should definitely check it out. It’s one of the few movies made that focuses exclusively on the profession of sales, though the “real estate” the fictional team is selling in the flick doesn’t exactly appear to be above-board. Putting that aside, between the cast (Al Pacino, Baldwin, Jack Lemmon, Alan Arkin, Ed Harris, and Kevin Spacey), and the clever dialogue, it’s a must-watch for anyone in sales, not the least bit because it’s so familiar.

But the most famous scene in the movie wasn’t actually supposed to be in the script. In fact, the screenwriter, David Mamet (who also secretly wrote the screenplay for one of the best action movies of all time, Ronin), wrote the entire scene as a personal favor to Baldwin, in order to repay him for a (much less valuable) act of generosity.

Here’s what happened

At some point in the 80’s, Baldwin and Mamet were having dinner, probably at some fancy restaurant in L.A. (don’t fact-check this part). When the bill came, Mamet realized he’d forgotten his wallet at home, and asked if Baldwin could spot him, promising the Beetlejuice actor, “I’ll make it up to you sometime.”

Fast forward a few years to the early 90’s, and Mamet’s famous play GlenGarry Glen Ross, which had won the Pulitzer Prize, was finally set to be turned into a movie after nearly nine years of pre-production. Baldwin had committed to the role of Ricky Roma (which ultimately went to Pacino), but left the project because he found out that if Pacino agreed to do the flick, he would be cast as Roma over Baldwin (actors and their egos!).

But the producer, Jerry Tokofsky -- who had bought the movie rights from Mamet for $1 million in 1986 -- desperately wanted Baldwin in the movie, and Baldwin wanted to be in the movie too, so he did the same thing Don Corleone did in The Godfather: he called in the favor Mamet owed him.

Mamet agreed, and wrote the Blake scene for Baldwin, and the rest is history. Little did they know it would end up being the most famous scene in the entire movie, and possibly the most famous scene in sales movie history. So let that be a lesson to you: if someone forgets their wallet at dinner, make sure to spot them -- it could pay off big in the long run, if you’re both famous Hollywood people, that is.
