Notable Cuts

Recommended Posts

Carolina cut bait on Terrace Marshall already

Chiefs cut Kadarius and Deneric Prince who I thought was going to be their number two.  Interesting is they seem to have kept Emani Bailey on the roster.

Cleveland cut Donta Foreman

Desmond Ridder on the street in Arizona

Bailey Zappe out

With Lloyd and now Dillon on IR, Green Bay would be a good landing spot for Donta Foreman.

Dang, I did not foresee them cutting Foreman. I figured they signed him to help with work-horse duty, since Ford struggled with that role last year. He had a rib-injury in pre-season... maybe that had something to do with it?

or there is a free agent RB they feel is better than him that they plan to sign.

Lloyd isn't on IR. That was the expectation but they decided to keep him on the roster. Foreman may return to Cleveland shortly.

I was wondering about this myself.  didnt see anything pertaining to IR but he has a grade 1 hamstring pull which he should be recovered to a point where he can play (or very close.   grade 1 pulls have a reasonably short recovery time... certainly not IR worthy)

They have their top ten rb, J Jacobs.   There is no need.

you need to spell the guy from time to time.

and a backup in case of injury is good planning.   while he has been durable so far in his career, that doesnt mean you dont want a good quality backup.

While I think Lloyd should be that guy, but he hasnt been overly healthy so far so they will be adding someone.    Who that someone will end up being remains to be seen.

Not a cut, but Niners placed E. Mitchell on season-ending IR.  Mason looked pretty good in camp, so stashed him at the end of my bench in multiple leagues in case CMC gets hurt.

It looks like former Jet and sleeper favorite Michael Carter can add former Cardinal to his resume.  The Cardinals decided to keep Emari Demercado behind James Conner and rookie Trey Benson.

The running backs are interesting considering some of these guys might end up getting real playing time in Dallas.

Man, that poor guy.  I've never seen a guy get hurt so much practicing.

I heard mason was making a good case to replace Mitchell anyways.   reports I saw suggested he was having a great camp.

As a Packers fan I am a fan of Emmanuel Wilson.  Guy is a natural runner.  Not the best recieving back.  But a natural runner.  Led preseason in rushing last season.  Was close this year.  Believe he had most yards after contact in preseason.  Excited to see what he can do early in the season.

I always draft my team on preseason stats. When Zach Wilson threw those two TDs, I moved him up to 1.01.

I would not draft Emmanuel Wilson.  Its a cut thread and people are wondering about the #2 back to start the year.  I know real football talk scares some of you.
