I recall some golfer was stopped before a game. 

Scheffler had been charged with a felony for assaulting a police officer with his vehicle, along with three misdemeanors. The arresting officer, Detective Bryan Gillis, was outside the gate of Valhalla Golf Course directing traffic after a pedestrian death when he encountered Scheffler.

All charges were dropped.

Also, can someone confirm that reckless driving in Florida warrants a custodial arrest and is completely different than the “traffic violation” rhetoric on all the sports shows this AM?

Not a relatable story.  Scheffler did nothing wrong and was just trying follow directions on how to enter.  The cop was shown on video overreacting and that's why all charges were dropped.

If Hill wasn't an NFL player he would most likely be in jail for domestic abuse.

“Keep your window down or I’m gonna get you out of the car”.  Completely legitimate for the cop to do this if he can’t see through the tint.  Especially, as I said earlier, if this is a stop that warrants custodial arrest.

Well we don’t know the whole story but seems like it was likely a massive overreaction by the gestapo there. I’ve no doubt tyreek deserved a ticket and I generally am not going to defend his character for sure, but how does that end up in him face down on the ground getting handcuffed by the side of the highway?

So I’m reading he was driving over 100 in a 55?  If that’s true, you should know this isn’t a “here’s your ticket” situation.  If Tyreek thought he didn’t think he need to come out of the car, I’m betting something happened during that event which caused it to escalate.  Any other John Q Citizen probably would have taken a ride to jail
