 Curious of what our resident mathematicians think of this. Raiders and Jerry?

There is no double zero on that table.  Add the double zero and odds drop.

It's a negative EV bet looking at his math.

4 potential outcomes while betting $15 on black and $10 on column.

1. He wins $5 37.8% of the time (black number not in his column)

2. He wins $5 21.6% of the time (red number in his column)

3. He wins $35 10.8% of the time (black number in column)

4. He loses $25 29.8% of the time.

Expected value (EV) is then $5 x (.378  + .216) + $35 x (.108) - $25 x (.298)

EV = $5 x (.594) + $3.78 - $7.45

EV = $2.97 + $3.78 - $7.45

EV = -$0.70

So you'd expect to lose 70 cents on average everytime you make this bet with a single 0 wheel.  In other words after 100 times making this bet, you should be down around $70.  After 1000 times you should be down around $700. That's right around the house advantage ($0.7/$25 = 2.8%).   I didn't do the arithmetic for a 00 included, but I'm sure you'd average about a $1.40 loss every spin.

Now what this gentlemen is doing is taking advantage of expected growth (EG) by essentially giving odds to the house by betting a large amount to win a small one most of the time.  He's accumulating a lot of small wins banking that he won't hit a string of losses.

Conclusion... if you're going to play roulette, which I wouldn't recommend, this isn't necessarily a bad strategy for a slow burn, but you'll eventually run across that string of losses and get wiped out.  The danger is going to be if you can maintain discipline and walk away when up the preset amount and not pull more money out when you hit your loss limit which most people wouldn't be able to do.  They go on tilt with a loss and everything goes downhill.

I'm not going to watch and just say don't play casino games as they're stacked against you. If you want to gamble, bet on sports.

 Great knowledge of the game, thank you. I loveee playing roulette in, casinos. I win nicely three out of ten times. I never get more than a hundred dollars in chips and when they dry up, i move on. I know it’s it has the second worst odds behind slots, but it’s a fascinating good time when you are patient and start hitting. My goal is to get all of my colored chips, which is a little more than $300.00 dollars. I only bet the minimum amount and enjoy the drinks and meeting new people. I always tip the dealer and the drinks maid. I always have a good time win or lose. You win some and lose some. The sound of the ball spinning and ricochet is exciting. I normally don’t watch and just listen.

5.26% house advantage on all bets with a double zero wheel (with one exception which is worse) Half that on a single zero(reasonable if you can find one)

There is no way to beat that house edge with a "system"  anyone that says you can is wrong

 I understand that and know that. But there are ways to up your odds if you understand how to play the game. Strategy is your best bet. Those who bet their grandchildren or kid’s birthdays are likely to lose. Same with those who go to Vegas and a friend says “put a Jackson on 23, Jordan’s numbah.”

Again, I follow those who are doing well. Especially if they are on a winning streak and seem to know what they are doing. Before I make a single bet, I watch them and the board to make a decision on the table.

As is every betting strategy ever played is assuming the outcome is random.

Amazing that people can spend 50 plus years on this earth and think there’s a winning strategy for a game like roulette. Barnum was right.

Does anyone remember Sexual Predator and his craps throwing strategy. Best gambling advice ever on this site.

Sorry but this is 100% wrong.  No matter what you do, no matter how you bet, no matter what "system" you use, in roulette the 5.26% stays the same.

There are ways to help things like blackjack, but not roulette.

Exactly.  It’s some of the worst odds in the casino.  Might as well throw your money into slot machine.

Play craps with heavy odds bets.  Or learn how to count cards and play Blackjack.

My strategy is to wait until some schmo is placing a massive bet on a single number.

Then i pretend like i want to get in in the action. But really i just bet on the numbers on each side of it.

So inevitably when it misses by one and everybody is like omg we almost hit it big. I say "color me out please".

This strategy is 2-2.

Sorry to hear about your grandma sir. Touching story about finding a box of money in the closet with instructions to put it on 27. But thanks for the win, next time back it up with a bit on the ten. Here is 27 bucks go poor out a brandy for her.
