Trump speaking on being saved by God

Recommended Posts

So, God saved Trump and decided it was better that someone else die from that bullet instead?  It was his time and not Trump's?  I can't agree with that logic and it has nothing to do with belief in God.

You are an atheist. You have a firm belief in atheism.

Wrong again

If I was wrong, you would be replying to the atheists on this site the same way you talk to the God supporters.

I was not wrong. You actively seek out religious people to oppose. Not the atheists in any way.

Just because you want to say stuff to make yourself look in a certain way, doesn't mean you  are being knowingly honest with yourself or anyone else.

What are the atheist saying that require a response?

I may not be very religious but I am definitely not an atheist.  I'm a non-practicing Catholic.

What are they saying? See? You just won't even process their attacks on religion and that they think God is just made up BS.

Maybe God is made up.  I do not rule out the possibility of God, or Heaven and hell though.  That is why I'm not an atheist.

Saying that it's not factual does not make me an atheist either.

I believe that A GOD may exist, but every religion that exists is man made and wrong. I won't follow any book or preacher that another man is trying to tell me "the truth".  They have no clue.  Then they die and go into the blackness.  Like all of us.

Atheists don't rule it out either.  That's not the definition.  The difference between atheists and agnostics are backbones.

Your posts paint a different picture.

This is exactly like the liberals on this site who call themselves moderates. Yet they bash all conservative views and support or leave all mentions of the liberal policies be. 😉

You're thinking of agnostic, not atheism.  They are different.

Having blind faith does not give someone a backbone.

I meant exactly what I said.

You claimed you're not atheist because you don't rule out the possibility of there being a God.  That's not what atheists do.  That's not the definition of atheism.

Agnostics claim it's impossible to know for sure.  That's almost as bad as blind faith.  That's why I said they don't have backbones.  You're trying to be agnostic.

Atheist refers to someone who does not believe in the existence of a god or any gods.

Yes you are.  You're trying to have your cake and eat it too.  That's what agnostics do.

atheism, in general, the critique and denial of metaphysical beliefs in God or spiritual beings. As such, it is usually distinguished from theism, which affirms the reality of the divine and often seeks to demonstrate its existence. Atheism is also distinguished from agnosticism, which leaves open the question whether there is a god or not, professing to find the questions unanswered or unanswerable.

True agnostics don't attack one side over the other. They let them both be without comment. This guy, solely attacks the pro religious views of people.

Is the hat made of Churro's?  If so, can I have a bite too?

I never claimed to be agnostic either.  I don't claim to be anything other than a non-practicing Catholic, because that's what I am.

Trigger inadvertently giving another excellent insight into the MAGA "mind."

"You may not have the answers, but admitting it shows a lack of backbone!"

i.e. "I don't know , but I will fake it so everyone will believe I'm not a fuking moron."

This mindset is endemic amongst Trump voters.

Wat?  Google translate isn't even helping with this word salad.

I'll take the bold as the only thing I can make somewhat sense of:  Agnostics claim that it's impossible to know for sure. That's different than not having all the answers.  As I've been trying to explain to Hawkeye, even atheists won't claim 100% certainty.  Atheists just aren't afraid (backbone) to take a stand on probability.

"My trailer home is dirty, I make minimum wage and Trump says it's because of the Mexicans!  That's right! I'm a victim!  Let me buy this $60 Bible to show those Mexicans who's the boss!"  "My 17 neighbors in my trailer park all have Trump flags so obviously he is gonna win.  If he doesn't it's fake news!"

Does not knowing something for sure, being uncertain, mean that you don't have a backbone?  That's interesting logic.  That would mean it's better to just be a sheep and follow the group.  That's not me.

They were your words not mine.

Imagine coming online and trying to convince strangers of how rich you are.

You sound pretty desperate in life to me. 😆

Imagine coming online and trying to convince strangers that Donald Trump isn't a Pedo only trying to enrich himself.
