Engorgeous George

30 inches and still snowing.

I am up now because i heard a loud crack or snap.  Neighbor's tree is down on his new truck.  Nothing to do about it now so I am going back to bed for a few hours.  When it gets light it will be time to dig out and to assess damage, if any.

A bit early in the year for this.  The shoveling sucks as I ruptured my biceps tendon 19 days ago. Sure is pretty though.

Ohhhhh shiiiizzz..... I tore mine a few years ago.  Lifted 5x a week.... tore it bowling.  Fricking so stupid.  Anyway... didn't opt for surgery, just let it heal.  It starts burning.... I back off.  I'm just waiting for it to SNAP!  I sorta wish I would have just had it done initially so I wouldn't be waiting.

I came in this thread wondering the same thing.  My son called me from Colorado Springs today.  He works on one base and lives on the other.  It's about a 20 minute drive usually, but today it rained and then snowed/froze on top of it along with a ton of snow.  He was pretty nervous driving and wanted me to talk with him on the way home.  No probs... I was nervous for him too!  But... we made it fine.  Hahah... I told him we need to get him a cold weather sleeping bag etc... just stay/sleep in the back room next time.  Don't leave base until the roads aren't so jacked.

With it only 50% torn the Doc said it was 50/50, surgery or jest letting it heal.  On the day I was scheduled for surgery I showed up with a cough and a fever.  theywould not perform the surgery.  The doctor then told me that rescheduling the surgery is a por option as the healing process would be moving along into its third week and at that point they simply rcommend letting it heal.  He did say i would lose a little suppination, but that I can expect return of the strength of the area if I let it heal for six weeks and then rehab slow and steady starting very light.

I think this is God's way of saying you shouldn't jerk off so much.

Spankitus 2:37

God bless.

Amen.

They do say the Lord works in mysterious ways.

Looks like it is going to stop here now.  Three feet of wet, heavy snow.  Lots of branches and trees down in the neighborhood.  Some trees still had half their leaves or more and they have not done well.  This is going to take some time to clear working with essentially one arm.  Sure is pretty though.

I think this injury is why God gave us two arms and hands.  Now, for some people who are a little bit better endowed they may require the use of both of those appendages but alas I am not one of those fortunate souls.

Not sure where you're located exactly EG but over here in Littleton we didn't get much over night.  Still have probably close to a foot from Wednesday night's storm but yesterday/last night we didn't get very much.

Smoky Hill and E-470, essentially.  We are at 6700 feet here and always seem to get twice what Denver, Western Aurora, and Littleton get.

Been sunny and 60 for two days now and the snow is going down.  Still a lot on rooftops and side streets.  Just saw a sight.  A neighbor is having their roof replaced. Tthe roofers are up there on a 30 degree roof covered with ice and up to two feet of snow.  They are shoveling it off so they can get to work.  Three stories up on a 30 degree incline, with no safety ropes, shoveling off the roof.  I stopped to watch for a while to see if they fall.  Thus far they have not but it seems rather dangerous.  They are speaking spanish.  I am not sure I would allow that work on my home.  Seems likely there could be a serious injury.  It can wait a day or two.  I doubt my homeowner's policy would be happy with this.  Hopefully they have coverage through work, but I sort of doubt it.  One hell of a work ethic though.

Never heard of a ruptured biceps tendon as "pretty,"
