Even if everything in this article is accurate, you have failed to make any point. The hostages were taken while Carter was president. Even if this alleged conversation occurred and somehow had any impact, the hostages were still there for a year and Carter did not get them out. And Carter approved a failed attempt which resulted in 8 dead Americans. I have zero doubt Connally and the CIA are a bunch of corrupt POS who would try such a low-life tactic. However reading up now, after he died..politically he was pretty bad. Good guy with his efforts, but wow was he a sh!t politically after he left office.
