But any semi hard tackle by sidelines is a flag even if hes in bounds and a "runner". There is no logic to the rule other than QBs cant be touched. They can play games tho. Abuse their protection. People probably won't want to hear this, but I think it would make Mahomes play differently (within adjusted rules) and he's still head and shoulders better than who he is competing with more often than not. I think its hoe-ish by him. But hes trying to maximize and take advantage of thr rules. Im not necessarily blaming Mahomes. But what are defenders trying to do. What if forst down is right there do theybhave to let up and see if he wants to turn it up? If a guy is in bounds running you should br able to tackle the guy. But QBs...especially a chiefs game....you cant do much of anything unless you want a flag. As a defender you basically have to give up and let the QB do whatever he wants. Its weird.
