People have been doubting Mahomes since he came into the league. He hasn't missed an afc championship game and only lost to the Bengals from the afc in the playoffs. Either team can beat the Chiefs but there is no guarantee they will. I'm just thankful my favorite team is this good finally

Hardcore troubadour 14,910 Posted January 19 As far as Mahomes goes, defensive players may as well light him up. They are going to get called anyway. Also, Mahomes has really done damage to the protections afforded QB’s with the stunts he pulls. It’s bad sportsmanship. So just knock him the Fock out if you can. He brought it on himself.
listen2me 23 1,825 Posted January 19 How are the Rams +270 to win this game right now. Getting ball in a very competitive game with weather. What am I missing?

If they are going to throw a flag on ticky-tack stuff, the defensive might as well go all out and knock him into the fifth row….
cmh6476 1,010 Posted January 19 I disagree with you guys a bit somewhat. On the hit to the head, Mahomes didn't do anything to encourage the call, it was just a missed call. I think a better solution to that sort of play is to allow a review of the play and get it right. Maybe. On the slide, Mahomes did what he is supposed to do to protect himself. He slid. And again it's not what he did to induce the penalty, but rather the refs missed the call. Again. On this one, a review might help but it may also just be time to revisit the ability for a qb to slide for protection. I also need to go back to the out of bounds play and re-examine what I saw. When I think it was Aikman that said he did it to draw contact and a flag, that isn't what it felt like to me in the moment. It felt like he knew it was third down and he was still looking for an outlet that could get him a first down. Otherwise they were punting. I could be wrong on the down and distance of that play and maybe aikman was right. My opinion could be swayed. ETA: I found this link: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/news/patrick-mahomes-flops-chiefs-penalties-texans/bfdca29a03b5b557baf30583 The play from yesterday doesn't give enough time to look at the few seconds before the push came. On the other one he may have flopped but he was way out of bounds and shouldn't have been hit at that point.

They will throw a flag when letter of thr law says they shouldnt. But if a QB is in bounds and running just hit him. Hard. Doesnt have to be some take his knees out or head hunt. MDC 7,113 Posted January 19 Can’t say this game made me feel great, but a win is a win. Eagles could have gotten wrecked like the Vikings. LA’s young D is pretty good.
jerryskids 6,550 Posted January 19 Lost my parlay on the lack of Hurts INT. I know now why the odds were so bad; he doesn't throw much, and when he does, it's usually a screen pass. He doesn't do much as a QB besides run. Anyway, I know a lot of you ratards choose to live in weather like that (seasons, woot$#@!), but why does a multi-billion dollar industry based on athletic prowess decide a playoff winner in that stupid weather?
