***MY Inaugural How Are Your Kids And Grandkids Thread***

Recommended Posts

My daughter is doing great and she is a great relationship and her son, my grandson is beautiful, smart, and happy. Lil Bunny said, “OMG daddy, I have a feeling he’s going to be just like you.”  I couldn’t be prouder and happy for them.

My son just had his first major injury of his life. He fell at school on the playground and broke his wrist on his dominant arm Friday. Had to have it set friday,  Surgery Tuesday and put in a hardcast today. He has been incredibly great through it all and apparently has a very high pain tolerance. Never took a single thing for pain once he was out of surgery. The ONLY problem he has really had was almost puking when they removed the softcast and he saw the pins sticking out. Did not effect his growth plates but he missed a week of school and will not be able to write for 2 months which may put him behind his peers to the point they hold him back. We will see if we can get him caught up fast enough to stop that from happening. Has a birthday coming up and I have successfully kept a kid alive for almost 11 years.

It's not really annual until you've done it twice.   Rather it's your inaugural post.

You can't pretend to be Christian and then suppress your true feelings.   Not how that works homie.

The kindergartener is full of piss and vinegar.  She already has a boyfriend.

The one year old boy is on the verge of walking and talking.  He's fun to be around, although I am too damn old to have a one year old.

I was about two weeks away from turning 44 when he was born.

It certainly is keeping me young!

Wow. I thought I was an old dad. I was 38 when I had my son. Makes me feel good to see some old dads out there

Daughter had a good first semester at college. Made dean’s list and joined a sorority.

she finally was able to obtain a parking permit so wife and daughter drove her car out last weekend after a month at home. It was wonderful have her back for so long

Great thread title

My 19 yr old girl is working through things and doing better, it seems.

My 17 yr old son is doing well

My 14 yr old daughter is good, hangs out with some of the sweetest friends which is nice.

And my 21 yr old step-daughter is doing well almost finished with college and has landed her first professional job already.

Where has he stated that he soaks cork?

… and if he did, how does it change someone’s character?

Glad to hear the 19 yr old is doing better.

I've got a 28 yr old boy, 26 and 23 yr old girls.  All are gainfully employed and seem generally happy with life.  The boy has a GF of several years that will probably become our DIL; I predict an engagement not long after his best friend's wedding in March.

Older girl wants to meet Mr. Right.  Unfortunately, she is a hard-core Leftie who thinks she wants a soy boy, but she's also a total alpha female who would never be happy with such a guy.  Hopefully she eventually grows up and figures it out.

Younger girl is the one in NY; she works in the fashion industry and lives with a gay guy friend from Phoenix, so basically every guy she knows is gay.  I was happy to learn during her visit over the holidays that she would like to date, and has set a goal to do so this year.

So... no grandkids yet, but I'm cautiously optimistic, particularly for my boy.  When I got cancer and the prognosis of death, I was hoping to just see them all graduate college and get settled.  Now that that has happened and I seem to be not dying, I feel like I'm playing with house money.  Any accomplishment I get to experience will be a blessing.  :)

Geez, man, you're such an ass. You've entered Peefoam territory, which I did not think possible.

You have nothing in the way of redeeming posting qualities around here, and you're the biggest focking relious hypocrite I've ever seen.

You most certainly don't walk the Jesus path. You're despicable.

StepRusty is working at a Chase bank in Chicago.

Rusty II is doing Door Dash, living with his girlfriend and getting some tech certifications.

Rusty III is a year away from finishing his business degree and got an internship this summer at Dell in Austin, and that's likely where he'll get hired post-graduation.
