All major media has been a mouthpiece for the deep state for decades, including FoxNews.  You are part of the moronic population who suffers from mass contagion because you are incapable of thinking for yourself and a such a big wuss you give into groupthink.  Congratulations

:dunno:

Groupthink describes people who can't (or won't) find any criticism about "their guy" or any positives about their "political enemy".  That ain't me. I can cite several Trump's policies I completely agree with and many I find disgusting. And my views cross both sides of the political spectrum, because they're my views.  Not derived from any group.

Agreed groupthink is a problem, but you pegged me as the wrong guy.

Lol...it is ridiculous how brainwashed the government has the left.  The belief that it was talk radio or now podcasters who are creating groupthink is the height of moronic logic.  Our federal government is largest most powerful producer of mass propaganda ever.  A primary motativation of Operatiob Paperclip where we brought in actual Nazis was to learn Nazi propaganda techniques.  The US government performed numerous  mind control experiments on our population unknowingly even went as far as injecting mind altering drugs into innocent people and prisoners.  Our government has completely taken over our educational establishment, have taken over magazine and book publishing, as well as our major media and even Hollywood and social media giants. Our government has the strings over every major institution which you get information from which is over 90 percent of the market of information we have access to.

The only source of independant thinking came from places like talk radio in the 80's, and today podcaster.  Places X and Rumble are a couple of social media sites which are not bowing down to the Washington establishment power base.  Only a fuking moron could believe that the small sliver of light which gets through is where the mass contagion known as groupthink comes from.  The mind control/brainwashing is coming from the massive political establishment in Washington DC, not a handful of independant thinking podcasters.  And BTW, I was highly critical of Trump his first term and thought he was an egotistical idiot who was letting too many people manipulate him.  This time around he gets it and understands the evil he is up against experiencing their weapons first hand for the last 8 years.   He is far from perfect, but is bravely fighting the battle against the authoritarian beast which was destroying every principle which made this country great.

There is not a both sides to this.   This is an all out war between those who believe in a free society and those who believe all things must be controlled by elitists.   Elitist institutions can have a voice in a free society but their ironclad grip on power must be completely dismantled or the great experiment of America will be over.   A free society has been the rare exception in world history and it is very difficult to maintain it.  The natural state is for authoritarian elites to take control because that is how they are wired.   Trump is cutting the strings that the authoritarian elites have on society.   Twisting that into the absurd belief he is a dictator is just one of the many examples of the illogical groupthink that society has been programmed to believe.

I loved listening to Art Bell. RIP.

Driving around late night when I lived in New Mexico listening to Art Bell while I'm enjoying a cold beer filled a little time to let go of all the truly crazy stuff daily life had to offer. He just made life a little more interesting and real.

The retardedness of the left is that they really believe that these lone voices in the wilderness whether it be Art Bell or Limbaugh or Rogan leads to this groupthink/brainwashing.  But gropthink only works by coming from a position of authority.  That authority can be a mob or a teacher or so-called experts.

Everyone knows what a woman is, but grouothink has produced this idea that it is somehow fluid based upon how one feels and identifies.  It is completely absurd, but too many people have become unthinking spineless dweebs who bend the knee to whatever the experts say.

Anyone who knows my posting history at FBG knows I do not give a fuk what the mob or the experts think.  I know what I know and I don't give into groupthink.  The ones who play both sides are the worst because they will stab you in the back when the mob pressured them.

They ALL need to be sued when they lie. Apparently virtually none of it is real journalism, but they sell it as though it is and too many people believe it.

Absolutely, a position I have held for all media....and maintain to this day.  The media is creating terrible divides in this nation with their political pandering.

Cool. I hope they don't over dramatize it to try and sell it to everyone. I think he went through a stint of some person thinking he did some child sexual abuse. But he aggressively denied and many people that knew him believe the accusations were false. Some people didn't like the guy because he was too out there for them to accept. Not mainstream, cookie cutter enough.

FoxNews owner Rupert Murdoch wrote on Jan 20, 2021: “Trump insisting on the election being stolen and convincing 25% of Americans was a huge disservice to the country. Pretty much a crime. Inevitable it blew up Jan. 6th.” What he didn't say was FoxNews was the main reason so many people were duped.  Michael Steele, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, said: “It wasn’t about the country, it was about the ratings. It wasn’t about objective, honest journalism. It was about Maga propagandism."

Murdoch is 93 yo now and his children are set to inherit the company. Murdoch recently tried to amend his trust so not all the children would get control as most aren't right-wing nut jobs, but he lost the lawsuit.

Rupert's son James Murdoch has made it clear that he thinks Fox has gone off the rails, embracing conspiracy theories, pushing out things detrimental to the workings of democracy itself. James has said that any reforms he might seek would focus on corporate and editorial governance, not political orientation. Fox News, he says could still report from a conservative perspective "without giving a platform to unqualified doctors to spread medical misinformation during a pandemic, or misrepresenting an oil-company shill as an expert on climate change."

Hope it happens.

Fine by me, I hold all media as equal in this.....with the lone nuance being that at least Fox has admitted its opinion journalism, while the rest keep pretending they are not....unless they sued...

So yes, all media, as I have repeatedly stated.

Only in court under oath. No other news outlets have been rung up for 3/4 of a billion for lying.

No.....I have watched them all speak to the fact that they are opinionists.....  I respect them for that.  Now, they are also absolute sycophants to the right.....and I accept that.

Are you willing to admit that CNN....MSDNC....CBS....NBC .....are all sychphants to the left?

$700 million +. Doesn't matter what I think. No other networks or news orgs have ever had to deal with that kind of settlement. Why did they settle? Why did they not go to court?

Show me evidence of any of the other outlets you mention, or any other outlets period, that have settled for a number like that. Since you cannot........ perhaps you can turn to your critical thinking....... and let me know....... why this would be ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I'm asking you to think critically about why you're willing to give Fox a pass because they "admitted they were opinion" while grandstanding about how awful the other media outlets are when Fox is the only one that has had to admit (by way of the settlement) they lied directly to their viewers strictly to maintain their ratings?

I never gave Fox a pass on anything.  Do not think of me as you are......YOU do such things.....I...do not.  I applaud EVERY victory over media lies....all of them

I leave it to you, to protect your ideological masters....in media....in government.....wherever....

Do not compare "us" you are a hypocrite with a malleable morality.  It is weak men such as yourself that cause us the most prominent problems. I apologize if that is abrasive, but suggesting that I am like you ....is deeply offensive....

I would never suggest such a thing, as I would also find that offensive. And respectfully, you can fuk right off with the "weak men" weak sauce. Don't go there, it's beneath you. Or at least it used to be.

You are every bit, if not more, hypocritical than those you are calling out. Post after post of this holier than thou intellectual and philosophical "honesty." Your truth is that you contort yourself to justify most of what Trump and MAGA do, regardless of consequences or legality. It's absurd for someone that voted for Trump to claim someone else's morality is malleable. There is more evidence of him committing crimes... for YEARS... than there is for Hunter and Joe. It's not my problem you refuse to see that.

Do not presume to insult me by suggesting I am like you without consequence.  You are weak.  Weak men are dangerous.  Not necessarily for what they do...but for what they allow to be done.

I have admitting when I am being hypocritical, unlike yourself.  You are too weak to do so.

How about you unpack this a bit? Being as I thought you were one of the "better" ones around here that did not resort to personal attacks. Please explain to me how I am weak.... but you are not. And while you're at it, go ahead and point out where you've been a hypocrite. Because I see your condescending posts every day, and to not recall such an admission.

The first insult, which pointed out at the time, was suggesting that I would think or behave like you. I said at that time that I was insulted by that suggestion.  I apologize that came back at you over it, Perhaps I was being a little too overreactive to it, but I have to insist that suggesting I would behave as liberals do....is deeply offensive to me.

I suspect everyone here thinks and behaves pretty similarly in most aspects of their life, so I find it odd you would find that so offensive. Apology accepted, I don't want to alienate someone I consider to be one of the more thoughtful righties here. I do not like to insult people and usually don't unless they take the first shot, then sometimes I don't know when to quit.

Cheers and have a good weekend.
