Plane crashes into Potomac near Reagan airport

Recommended Posts

People here keep bringing up DEI.

Is there any proof that DEI had anything to do with the cause of this crash?

I gave a reasonable explanation to a garbage statement that Tardcore posted.  You're not even trying to defend what he posted, you're just criticizing me to explaining how his post is most likely BS.  You're defending his BS by criticizing my thoughtful explanation.  And then you say I don't want to have serious discussions.  Hypocrite.

If your post was speculation at first  that makes it even funnier because that’s exactly what happened

I'm not critizing anything or anyone other than TimHack's first response to your post

It’s just crazy to think Buttegeig was more concerned with DEI.  Especially since he never shuts the Fock up about it.

So you're saying the DOT spent $80B on DEI Initiatives?  The annual budget of the DEI was between $80B and $100B per year.  They also spent billions on upgrades.

Here's what probably happened.  The DOT grants over the 4 years for things like roads and bridges probably included some language to promote DEI like including minority suppliers in the bidding process.  Some hack at the NY Post called this DEI grants looking for a political attack.  Tardcore read this and repeated it here.  You defend Tardcore.

In the end you all look foolish following someone like me explaining it to you.  Take the day off.

I see LibsofTikTok fell for this lie also

So none of you can refute the 80 billion over four years? Gutterboy said something probably happened. lol.  Anyway, there is a link in the story that goes to the DOT spending under Buttegeig. That came out before he left office. 80 billion is conservative. 🏆

Nope can't refute it.

Can you refute that Trump didn't rape a dozen kids last weekend?

Like I said, there is a link on the story that lays out the spending. From Buttegeigs department. While he was in charge. You should check it out before you run your mouth.

You really want to do this?

You never linked a story from the post. You don't link stories.  You just spew BS.

When you told your lie, I knew it had to be from the NY Post so I found it and read it.  I'm going to assume that's what you read.

It is here: https://nypost.com/2025/07/21/us-news/pete-buttigiegs-dot-spent-80-billion-on-dei-grants-delayed-air-traffic-control-upgrades-records-industry-insiders/

And inside this hack article are other links.  I am assuming this is the one you are referring to: https://www.transportation.gov/briefing-room/us-department-transportation-accomplishments-overview-january-2021-january-2025

I skimmed it, searched for "DEI" and "80" and found nothing.

So again, I'm calling you a liar.  Maybe I missed it, feel free to show me, otherwise it's another lie from you.

I think it is primarily referring to this:  55% of $150 billion is $82.5 billion.  Good to know MAGA rednecks can now be considered DEI hires.

  • Establishing Justice40 goals for 40 USDOT programs: Created by the Biden-Harris Administration, Justice40 is an opportunity to address gaps in transportation infrastructure by establishing the goal that 40 percent of the benefits from grants, programs, and initiatives flow to communities left out of previous funding opportunities, including urban, rural, and Tribal communities. USDOT integrated this goal into 40 funding programs totaling approximately $150 billion in contract authority. Under Secretary Buttigieg’s leadership, USDOT exceeded the 40 percent goal, with 55 percent of the benefits reaching the communities most in need.

Ah, good catch tim, thanks.

So this justice40 program, yeah it benefited Trump's base...

The initiative was behind a $30 million grant to Savannah, Georgia, to repair a canal and improve storm water systems in neighborhoods that had been experiencing repeated flooding for years, for example. A recently announced $20 million EPA grant funded partnerships between universities, local governments, and nonprofits in Virginia to upgrade child care facilities, water, and telecommunications infrastructure, as well as funding career development in the energy sector. And Justice40 was behind a Department of Housing and Urban Development program that has provided more than $1 billion for renovations in senior housing and low-income communities, like the Pleasant Valley Apartments in Dickinson, North Dakota, which received more than $3 million last year for things like energy-efficient windows and better insulation to deal with the state’s dangerously cold winters.

@Hardcore troubadour fooled again.

I didn't need to read it. I was right. You proved me right. Thanks bro.

The "80 billion" was part of the Justice 40 program that directed money to people that needed it. Mainly poor white people.  You got got again the most gullible poster here

I had seen this video when it came out, was a good example of the Biden admin’s investment in manufacturing and rural areas (albeit a bit propaganda-y).  But there were a lot of minorities in the video so I guess that makes it DEI

heat examples?

Anyway it worked out great for the communities that benefited.  I posted some examples above for people that can read.  But now Trump killed the program.

Back to your original statement, are you going to admit now that it's false or at best misleading?  You tried to say that airline safety was not prioritized because of DEI spending.  That is wrong.  I'm sure you will admit that now.

We can all agree it wasn’t prioritized.  Why is the debate.

HT never admits he is wrong on anything. He still insists that Trump was right about The Central Park Five raping the jogger, despite being exonorated by the DNA evidence and despite a confession from the real attacker.

They spent $25B to upgrade airports and airline travel.  It was prioritized.
