If you removed the "to win", how many additional legs would you need to add to get a similar payout?    🤔  i'll play around with it.

during football season I did a weekly  anytime TD lottery ticket parlay. $1-$2 to win 900k+.  I actually got kind of close one week later in the season. I had 12/13 hit in the 1pm games with 8 minutes to go. Chase Brown was the last guy in that wave. Cincy had it 1st and goal at the 3, he failed to punch it in. I cashed out for $100. I still needed 6 more legs in the 4pm window but it was getting exciting. Would have liked to see what the cash out offer might have got to if I was alive for the 4pm games and a few guys scored early. During the 1pm games the cash out never got above $350 which actually surprised me. I wonder where it would have needed to be to get a 6 figure cash out option.  17/19 at halftime of the 4pm games?

I did one for the AT&T and when I removed the winner, payout went from $250k to $12k

Good looking out, Jerry. Will be placing my order and also on the lookout for when Titleist does it. Usually mid March.

Great, glad it helped.

New topic, open to everyone:  do you know what loft your PW is?  I ask because I play Ping i3s that are 25 yrs old, and my PW is 47.  I was looking through new irons (got a list of "top" ones for 2025 from Golf Digest) and they are all in the 41-43 range, most are closer to 41.  That's stronger than my 9 iron.  Similarly, 7 irons go down to 27, that's my 5 iron loft.  So it appears irons these days are stronger and farther apart.  I guess that explains why they only go up to 5, sometimes 6 irons.  The 6 is stronger than my 4.

I'd like to move into this millenium with my clubs, but I dunno, I'd need to think through the lofts.  I also have a 56 and 60, and most of the sets don't go that lofty.

It also explains why sometimes guys hit an 8 farther than my 7 and I'm like man, it didn't seem like he swung that hard!

Thanks.  I can work with that, but I'd need to get probably 3 additional wedges with higher loft.

Have you looked at the Titleist Vokey wedges?  I'm intrigued by the different grind options.  My ancient wedges (also i3) are flat with no bounce, and contribute to chipping being the worst part of my game.

From the 43 degree PW I got to a 48 and 53, both part of the T300 set. These are used for full shots.

After that my around the green wedges are 58 degree Taylormade hightoe full face gr0oves and 64 degree Cleveland RTX zipcore full face grooves.

I have not done anything with Vokeys because they are less forgiving. Similar to blade irons.

I do but I have so many balls and every time I play I find half a dozen premium balls in excellent condition. Don’t remember the last time I bought any

I've been stockpiling balls ever since the 2028 rollback was announced. Hopefully Trump rolls out an EO nullifying the new ball rules, but until then, I have a portion of my basement sectioned off for golf ball storage.

My Callaway x forged PW was 46*
bought the 2021/22 Taylormade p790s last year and PW is 45*

I have a Cleveland 52, 56 and ping 60  the 7 degree gap is not ideal and i rarely hit the 60 so id likely be better off with a 50

”game improvement” irons you will probably see much stronger lofts

Thanks.  Your clubs are as old as mine!

Also, I never got the i3 gap wedge (also 52).  My game could really use it, but at this point I'd rather get a new set of wedges (and maybe irons) than invest more in a 25 yr old set.

I don't mind my 60.  It's not for bump and run, just 1/2 to full swing flops, so the flat bottom is fine... usually.  Unless I skull it.

Blades are the last thing I should be swinging nowadays.  I need a set of cavity back irons today.

I tend to go right under the ball.  My distance control with it is about nil.

I might suggest looking for a gap wedge that is more similar to whatever set of irons you go with  and then getting matching SW/LW.  Some iron sets go 5-GW as a standard option now. My dad bought Mizunos last year with the matching gap.

Getting my taylormades last year was a big change even though the lofts are fairly similar. I went with KBS shafts that are 20 grams lighter  and the change away from forged clubheads. Plus 15ish years of tech. So I am hitting all my irons including PW farther than my old ones. But I have never hit full wedge shots with gap, sand or lob very far. The ball flight tends to be straight up straight down so I definitely have a dead zone between PW and my more blade type GW.

Thanks!  I hit my current PW (47) about a hundy.  SW (56) is about 60 yds, and LW (60) is about 40 yds.  I'm really missing that gap wedge (52) around 80 yds.  I've currently got stiff steel shafts and would look into stiff graphite for my next set.

I'll need to see if whatever iron sets I ultimately look at have such options for loftier wedges.

Thanks also!  Like I said, I'm intrigued by the options with these wedges.  I don't think I'd get everything at once, so I will need to decide if I want to get wedges and then match up irons to them, or vice versa.  I agree with WW that it makes sense for them to have a similar feel.

For the similarity, I think you could match the GW to the irons since you're likely to use it only on full distance shots  and then you would be safe to get different SW/LW combo as you see fit since you will use those in greenside bunkers and many short chips and pitches. For example if you bought Taylormade irons and there was a GW option and then you went with Titleist SW/LW.

My father made the switch to stiff graphite from regular steel. Wanted something lighter but not too whippy.

My GW (52) should be my 100 club but very often, because of how high I hit my focking wedges, a full shot will go 95 and land right in front of the green  but now a full shot PW will go 125 so i'm usually choking down or swinging easier with a PW for those 100-105 shots.
