Be very thoughtful about the field of study you encourage your son or daughter to pursue. AI is coming for most. I harbor no optimism for the current generation of high school students. We've all seen the YouTubes of College Students getting asked simple questions and being baffled. They know nothing. It's not their fault really. The education system is broken. It needs money, infrastructure, knowledgeable technology people, strategists, designers, consultants, salesmen, etc, etc, etc. It's typical technology, but in this case needs massive hardware and energy support and has a long way to go.
