WhiteWonder 2,735 Posted June 4 Season is about 1/3 over. As of right now I would say my team MVP is Corbin Carroll, although that feels like a cop-out so perhaps it is Junior Caminero. Biggest surprise Emilio Pagan. Snatching him up has really helped, especially with Jose Alvarado deciding to get busted. Chandler Simpson is/was also a nice surprise but now back in the minors. Biggest disappointment/bust is Blake Snell. A healthy Snell pitching for LAD should have been my top starter. Rosters will be considered LOCKED and unowned players will be available for anyone to draft. There will be no adding of exclusive players after the 12PM deadline. I may have misunderstood the question. It was addressed about 20 years ago with Raul Mondesi (the dad). I think the ruling was if a player was in an MLB team's system, they could be draft. But if they disnt make the roster, they had to be dropped. My understanding has always been as follows.... If the player is NOT currently in your teams organization, then they had to have accumulated 1 at bat or 1 out as a pitcher (.1 IP)... so if they were called up at some point but never got off the bench, you are SOL. For the main draft, If they are a new addition to your MLB team, you can draft them with the reasonable expectation that they will accrue stats in the coming year. Finally, if they were a spring training invitee and wind up in your MLB teams minor league system, you are allowed to hold onto them again with the reasonable expectation that they could be called up (you're costing yourself a roster spot in the process). GuardBum 82 Posted July 7 Those scenarios are all correct. I had Kirby Yates signed in 2021 for a 2 year MLB contract. He started and was on IR the full year but at any time that season I could have drafted him or placed him on my team as he was in my organization. He was subsequently released.
