In reality that is incorrect.

The GOP people who voted for Trump would have voted for Haley or Rubio..whoever.  Dems and Independents who flipped to the right put Trump into office. Trump flipped all the swing states that went Dem last time, that was not because of GOP voters.

Harris had 7 million less votes than Sleepy Joe had in 2020. The Dems did not turn out for Harris.  Had they she would have won.

So it was a perfect storm of a bad Dem candidate, left voters not showing up, and independents flipping right that won the election. Don`t blame the people who always vote right.

I don't think about it because this stuff doesn't consume me, but yeah... that's a weird thought. I'm not sure, had he been killed, that whoever ran against Kamala would have won.... and 4 more years of Biden-Harris puppet show would have been a nightmare.

That is what happens when your party keeps shouting that Biden is in great shape and your voter base eats it up, despite what they can clearly see with their own eyes. Then you wait until the 11th hour to force the poor guy out and you have no time for a primary. 

Although I do sort of think that was their plan all along with the hope that what worked in 2020 (a remnant of the Obama admin running alongside a somewhat youthful minority) would work again with a somewhat youthful minority running alongside an old white man. Unfortunately less wool was pulled over peoples eyes and the tie to Obama was gone.

Yep. They didn't learn a thing from Clinton. No primary. Just give her the nomination.  Obama tried to give her cred by making her Sec of State and she blew that. Not that it mattered really. People just didn't like her.
